As @Timjer said, the people that want to make abortion illegal also don’t want to pay for any childcare programs. It’s the conservatives you love that won’t support maternity leave, Lauren.

Companies don’t pay the medical expenses of their employees, idiot. The health insurance that they (hopefully) buy pays for it. The employer has no financial interest in abortions, or any other medical procedure, except to the extent that it affects an employees work schedule. With the increase in work-from-home options, we saw a decrease in pregnancy and post-partum leave requests.

Disgusting as it is, to the cynic in me that does make a certain amount of sense…
Sometimes people do good things for horrible reasons.

The only concerning part here is that this is only a convenience for women who already have many opportunities, compared to where the need will obviously be great. But of course this welcome move will be criticized by the same who favor women subjugation. The same who also want to deny them basic sex education, etc.
