One bunch of Protesters doing something “Extreme” doesn’t mean we’re all like that.
There’s also a chance that the video or photo (if there is one) was misrepresented or edited. Either that or “I’ll take ‘Wingnut Propaganda Stories’ for $400, Alex”.
Also; There’s a bunch of jerkass cops beating/torturing/raping/killing people (mostly those with melanin-rich complexions) for no good reason and getting….at best….paid leave. Any GOOD cop would tell you that deadly force should only be as a VERY LAST RESORT, restraining shouldn’t be done to the point that someone can’t breathe and that de-escalation is best as a first choice of action. Instead; We get the Derp Patrol getting all “Dirty Harry” to the point where even Dirty Harry would be disgusted!
I’m sure most cops are decent, hard-working people who valiantly put their lives on the line everyday to enforce the law, fight crime and protect the people and we should thank them for that. However; Calling out the jackass thug-cops should be seen as as extension of that and not being Anti-Cop.
There’s this “Thin Blue Line” thing and decent officers are often too cowed to speak out against the jerks and are often harassed when they do. Maybe if they joined forces, found safety in numbers and built some resolve they could make a real difference.
Protesting the Govt. or Police does not mean you hate them. In fact it means you LOVE them and want them to do better.
Disobedient kids should get punished, right? They lose privileges, get grounded, sent to their rooms, etc. right? These are obviously meant to LOVE & TEACH the kid not to act like a jackass. Same holds true for protests. Progressive Americans believe in “Type One Eagleland” whereas the Trumpsters, Teabaggers & Mighty Whites believe in “Type Two (though many claim to be Type One)”….
