He does realise other cultures had burlesque styles not just France and French soldiers opposed Nazis?

Tatsuya, the Nazis, especially those in leadership, was FAR MORE hedonistic and decadent than what they supposedly bitch about from the Jews that they blame every single fucking thing on as there exist numerous evidences to suggest each Nazi officials abuse their power in horrific and insane degrees and the fact that you flatout refuse to acknowledge that, even for a group that will shoot you dead if they ever get power again, still floors me.

But… decadence and hedonism are actually good things!

Failure to understand French culture. The French like a healthy dose of decadence and hedonism.
More importantly though, the sort of puritan austerity that the Nazis advocated was myth rather then reality. The Nazis cut some displays out of public but in private were worse then the French or the previous German governments. The Nazis were advocates of the powerful can do what they want as long as they keep it private, keeping a good honest working life was for the common people.
