@Jerry
1: Point out the exact passage, with context and without interpretation, where it says that the church that traces back to the apostles is not a real church.
2: TULIP is absolute horseshit. Your belief in the writings of a man interpreting the translation of a translation in an effort to twist it to say what they want it to say is itself a belief in false doctrine.
3: There are no "elect". Belief that certain people are pre-ordained for Heaven (excluding the Jewish people, per the old Covenant) is directly counter to the message of salvation. If there is no choice and everything is preordained, then you deny the value of the sacrifice of Jesus. Therefore, you and those like you deny core doctrine such as 'Jesus died for the sins of humanity. All of humanity. No exceptions." I may not be the best of Christians, but even I understand the basics. You have to twist the book to make your view work.
4: You don't seem to have even the most basic grasp of the terminology when relating to believers and non-believers. Quick Lesson (using Christianity as the filter, but in most cases, filling in another religion still fits the terms, with notes for those otherwise):
Christian: Anyone practicing a Christian faith, including at the very least accepting that Jesus died for our sins, and that salvation came through this. Different sects have their own add-ons, but there are a few core tenants.
Heretic: Someone that follows some Christian doctrine, but follows one or more tenants that are proscribed by their church (or the faith in general).
Apostate: Someone that once followed, or claimed to follow, Christian doctrine, but did a 180 and actively opposes the overall faith (or doctrine).
Heathen: A non-Christian.
Pagan: One that practices one of many belief sets referred to as 'pagan'.
Satanist: One that actively worships Satan, or is a member of a Satanist sect. Does not mean heathen or heretic, but can include pagans. Some apostates may apply.
So, Jerry, let's evaluate works. Charity (within budget), helping others when one can, trying to bring a little joy into the world, supporting those that need a shoulder... good works. Trolling websites, condemning people for not being you, arrogance and self-righteousness, generally being a prick... bad works.
Seems, judging by works, you have a long way to go, Jerry. My advice, go read your book. Not just a few cherry picked verses, the whole thing. Take all of your TULIP material and burn it. Try not being self-righteous for a week and just leave everyone be. Try to go 24 hours without standing in judgment of anyone. If you can pull that off, you will feel this odd sensation. We call it "Being a Decent Person". You may decide you like it.
