A huge misconception is that the Left cares about corruption and incompetence in policing. They don’t at all. They care about their racial narrative. Which is why police brutality that doesn’t fit the racial narrative is either ignored or artificially forced to fit.

In your bigoted mind perhaps. Cops are cops, no matter the race, they have shown themselves (definitely in the US at least) to abuse the power invested in them by the state, either out of sheer incompetence and lack of training or by using discriminatory practices. That’s what’s being criticized, and yes, by the left.
Even though I would not be surprised if you were a racialist, what you call a "racial narrative" that understands that human race is a human concept is supported by good science. Systemic racism is also a well recognized thing, despite denial by white supremacists. Your attempt to weaponize Nichols's death for racism is not surprising.
Really? To me, it clearly seems to be the US RIGHTwing that has no ideological content, only an obsession with maintaining an illusion of “winning”, be it by aggressive denial that makes their sheltered and privileged selves uncomfortable, a personality cult to a sleazy conman pretending that everything is Just As Planned, or by incompetently attemptiong to construct bad-faith Gotcha arguments against “The Left”.

Which they also believe their side is the majority somehow despite growing evidence against that via the elections and how often Republican tend to lose in that, for example, this mid-term which should have been a red wave election with dozens of seats taken… was a trinkle with barely enough to take the house and that’s it, let alone how many local elections had democrats win over the Republicans and some having state legislatures taken over by democrats entirely. So, don’t know about you but it appears to me that this whole mindset is fundamentally self-destructive and only ensures they become increasingly less influential in American politics… but at the same time… these people are increasingly just straight-up fascists and if they believe they can’t take control of the government through the vote… they’ll try and do it through force, fuck they tried to do on January 6th, of 2021 but failed, however that doesn’t the next time they try it they won’t be mildly successful, as in, manage to take control of the capital for a few days while the US military forces them out.
