I’m not sure what his standards for religious coherence are, but never built a city or developed a civilization? Has he any knowledge of the Songhai empire, or its earlier iterations of Ghana and Mali? The University of Sankore? And then there’s Ethiopia, a long-time bastion for Judaism and Christianity alike. I suspect his grievance is that even in places that know civilization, it’s often right next-door to peoples who still practice their primordial nomadic hunting-gathering. Probably a sign to him that nothing’s really taken hold, the nomads’ own ideals be condemned.

Looking at modern America - what you claim is “white culture” at its peak - and the complete inability to maintain any semblance of order during the pandemic because entitled idiots were aghast at the idea of limitations on their “freedoms” like having to wear a piece of fabric over their faces for reasons so inconsequential as a deadly contagious virus or cancelling travel plans to the point they would storm restaurants armed with rocket launchers and how it’s two-party system (two squabbling all encompassing dysfunctional families) handled it with the noticeably whiter of the two being by far the most willing to turn a blind eye to the law or let corpses pile in the streets and not just from the virus…

Friendo, you fall short of the fantasy hellscape you’re trying to saddle black people with. A hellscape you’re determined to bring into reality with your own hands. And they maintain more human dignity and concern for their fellow man than you even with you deliberately trying to stamp them under your boot because you will watch society burn - you will put it to the torch yourself - before you ever allow anyone to make you feel like you’re not inherently special or worse that others have just as much right to this world as you.

And everything after that quoted paragraph? Fucking lazy lies. The concept of settled civilization began in Africa, as did farming and irrigation. Brickmaking and glassblowing existed in Africa long before colonization, brick was just not used for permanent living structures. Anything that’s attributable to Egyptians is inevitably going to involve black people as well they were a major part of the population. There were absolutely black sailors, explorers, and traders, you just like to think the discovery of the Americas - an accident rather than a daring search for new lands - overshadows anything they did. Writing systems come and go even without colonials actively stamping out all evidence of them and arguments about about languages fading from existence certainly never get used against white people who are celebrated for even aborted systems or simply copying better ones like adopting Arabic numerals.

Africans had empires just like the rest of their neighbours. At some point though they collapsed and as with all history their bones were built on top of. Difference is while we continue to claim what’s built from our bones and what we built on top of theirs you deny them the same right. From our intervention onward everything considered positive belongs to us even if we’re not involved, something that is not allowed to work in the other direction for all they build in our society you deny them any share of the claim.

Anyone of colour is expected to follow “the law” even when what they’re being subjected to is not lawful.

To be stopped and searched at a whim. To have identification and property seized without cause or redress. To have their right to be in a public place challenged. To not have their right to self defense recognized even if fired upon. To be put in mortal danger and have the supposed peacekeepers regularly actively escalate into violence with the onus always on them to de-escalate but at the same time have any attempt at de-escalation be viewed as disrespect which is grounds enough for a fatal gunshot. To be fined beyond legal limits, to be jailed when others would be fined or simply warned, to be a hated invader in their home threatened daily by neighbours whose rights trump theirs and who would be considered justified pretty much by default in using lethal force if they ever felt the slightest bit threatened. And they are justified feeling threatened just by POC being in their sight while any suggestion that they are harassing said POC is hostile and ungrateful.

To always be presumed guilty, the establishment of a crime to come after punishment or in the post-mortem. And if they don’t like it? Well they can pack their shit and leave. If they don’t want to fit in with society nothing’s keeping them here, it’s “our” home not theirs and they’ll be reminded of that constantly. There’s no need for the majority to concern themselves with a “troublesome” minority’s wants even if they’re literally dying simply trying to follow “rules” that only apply as entities that want them to lose see fit to apply them.

But on the flipside? People like Ammon Bundy can ignore fines, resist arrest, hold police at gunpoint, assault federal employees, harbor known criminal arsonists, burst into an unrelated infant’s hospital room and harass the staff when he’s ejected, openly and explicitly threaten the lives of others including members of law enforcement by name…

And be celebrated for defending their “rights” to completely disregard the law because it inconveniences them.

The same people who would dismiss any wrongdoing if a black man was shot dead because he entered a 7-11 without a shirt with a policy not to serve shirtless people posted on the door and just say “if they followed the law it wouldn’t have happened” up in arms if the same 7-11 posted a mask policy and a white person not only came in without a mask but assaulted the sales associates for telling them to put one on and would expect the police to arrest the clerk. The same people who outright legalized vehicular manslaughter if it got rid of BLM protesters because being where they could be seen and heard was simply annoying and could disrupt shopping out for blood when “Canadian” Truckers were dispersed after days of playing British Bulldogs with the RCMP, ignoring orders to stop blocking roads in a deliberate bid to cause economic damage, and honking their horns in the dead of night specifically to harass and psychologically torment citizens.

And if we law abiding masses don’t like it? Well we can pack our shit and leave. They have no obligation to fit into society’s demands. It doesn’t matter that it’s “our” society if it gets in the way of their “rights” and to deny them that is the tyranny of the majority.
