"For democracy to survive we need more content moderation, not less.” Do these people hear themselves?

You do remember that Jefferson’s biggest problem with ‘Free Speech’ was that it’d protect lies, right? Dangerous lies can spread pretty fast. Such as a significant number of Americans distrusting the election process NOT because of any evidence of large-scale shenanigans, but because one whiny little bitch got butthurt because he lost. About 56 times, they told the MEDIA they were going to court to fight the fraud, but never, not once, actually mentioned election fraud IN THE COURTROOM where a judge wuold hold them accountable for their bullshit.
Yeah. more moderation. At the ver least, marking posted mistruths as mistruths, with links to where you might find the facts.
Yes, I do, and yes, that is exactly what I want. I’m not a lefty who plays nice with people like you. It’s telling how terrified the right wing is by the prospect of no longer being allowed to lie and spew hate speech with impunity.
Liberal (actual liberal, not a “filthy commie” like you might think) here. And as much as I might fear “free speech moderation”, I can safely say I fear lies and hate speech more. I’d gladly have to watch my words more than let fascist nutjobs like you spread misinformation, ignorance, paranoia, distrust, fear, and hatred like wildfires.
I may not be an american but I’ve seen what constant lies can do to a democracy. You have your orange Fuhrer to thank for that.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
