Norway's official government bureau of statistics, Statistics Norway: "The effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be strong enough to cause systematic changes in the temperature fluctuations during the last 200 years."

Jordan peterson quote tweets an account that describes themself as “The CO2 Coalition was established for the purpose of educating thought leaders, policymakers, and the public about the important contributions made by CO2.”, and points towards a blog of a group that describes themself as “The Climate Discussion Nexus was formed in 2018 by a group of citizens concerned about expensive, ill-planned energy policies intended to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.” and states “Questions about funding often imply, or state outright, that we take money from the fossil fuel industry and that doing so somehow compromises our integrity. Because we do not believe fossil fuels are having a disastrous effect on climate we would feel no unease at all in receiving donations from people in the energy sector. On the contrary, we regard Canada’s energy industry as a world leader in everything from technology to environmental and labour standards and a vital contributor to our way of life, and believe those in it ought to be more vigorous in defence of what they do. Including clicking on the “Donate” button below.”. So I wouldn’t trust that either the account quotes or that accounts source are credible sources of information.
Alsop: of the paper that is supposedly the source of this claim, one of the authors is an economist, the other one a retired civil engineer. So it seems to me, that it was written by non-experts, and, in the paper itself, it states “The Discussion Papers series presents results from ongoing research projects and other research andanalysis by SSB staff. The views and conclusions in this document are those of the authors.”. So, no, this was not a conclusion by research from the norwegian statistics berau. It was an opinion piece by two people who work for it, who aren’t experts in that area.

…wow…
Yeah, it's quite literally "These people said something I agreee with. Therefore I will take their words over every songle other bit of information that disagrees with me. This one source is good."
Well, less literally. We are dealing with a crazy persob. He'd be more like
"My brain farts tell me
This source is
Bestest. For really real
Reasons.
Not other sources."
“Imagine that”
Like no one on the internet has ever seen partisans flock to partisan-pleasing reports, however baseless, however poor the methodology, because the conclusions are politically useful.
Gay is a choice, Trans is a fad, evolution’s a hoax, White IQs are superior, antiwhiteness, back alley abortions, rape victimes can’t get pregnant, and so on.
Confused?
