The Denton document shows that trans was pushed surreptitiously on the population without debate by attaching it to popular causes like marriage equality and anti-bullying. As it becomes more and more open what trans rights really means (it’s not just “being kind” to people who are different), people are becoming more dismayed with it.
Trans rights means your daughter will be playing against boys in sports and have boys in the locker room with her. Trans rights means your son will be taught that he might be a girl in boy’s body at school and be provided means to “transition” without your knowledge and consent. Trans rights means your daughter or son may be punished if they refer to another student with correct pronouns. Trans rights means your right to use correct sex based pronouns at work or school may be challenged leading to loss of work and other opportunities. Trans rights means CPS can take your child if you refuse or even show signs of refusing to accept your child’s cross sex identity. Trans rights means social and familial ostracization. Trans rights means your husband may change your marriage contract by making himself your wife, retroactively making you a “lesbian” against all common sense and your lived experience. Trans rights means your mom might legally become your dad. Trans rights means if you see a man go into a women’s restroom and you object by calling police or security YOU might be arrested or kicked out. Trans rights means a rape victim may be compelled to refer to the male perpetrator as “she” in court. Trans rights means female inmates needing birth control and abortion because male rapists are lined up to transfer into the female prisons, with the explicit intention of continuing their careers as rapists. Trans rights means seeing nonsense phrases like “her penis” in the newspaper on a daily basis. Trans rights means female soldiers who are already at high risk of sexual violence from male soldiers now have to endure showering and sleeping in the same facilities. Trans rights means no facility or service no matter how vulnerable or sensitive can be sex segregated. [...]
