Our Faith is the only true Faith with the fullness of Truth
Yet you need a tradition of lies to hold it together.
We literally have God on our side
If it was the case there would never have been 5 great religions, older religions before those, even more splinter groups today. If he existed and had power, you would not need to be a propagandist and there would not be any human faith conversion conspiracies necessary. Didn't Jesus say that rocks would witness if necessary?
Why are we LOSING numbers of PRACTICING Catholics?
Lack of divine support, failure to adapt and stay relevant. The more fundamentalist the least appealing to the educated who see the deceptions.
WE HAVE TO CONVERT OURSELVES BEFORE WE CAN CONVERT ALL OF ISLAM AND SAVE THEIR SOULS AND THEIR CHILDREN'S SOULS!
Yourself? Why not. "Ourselves" still suggest a conversion agenda for others.
SAVE THEIR SOULS AND THEIR CHILDREN'S SOULS!
Are you certain that it's what you're doing? Since only "God sees the hearts", why must it be left to you to judge who's saved or not? Why would any human hierarchy be necessary, considering that in Jesus' baptism story, it was done by a hermit?
"Everyone has their own beliefs."
"Muslims worship the same God as us. We don't need to try to convert them. Let them have their beliefs. We don't want to offend people."
"Don't talk about politics and religion."
"I don't want to be uncharitable. I must be prudent."
You don't have churches?
(What is more charitable and prudent than saving souls from eternal Hell?)
Material charity and hospitality? What if your hell doctrine isn't realistic even on theological grounds? What about making what may be one's only life hell on Earth if it can be avoided or mitigated? What about the fact that threats of eternal suffering are childish and manipulative, even hateful? Again, how can you evaluate the sincerity of people? Christians are not supposed to judge according to Jesus.
God help us to serve you and do your Holy Will. Help us to place your Holy Will above our daily lives and our desire to feel comfortable and avoid confrontation. I love you and I trust you. In Jesus Name I pray.
That does not sound like Catholic ritual to me. It's also quite different to the model prayer Jesus left, Our Father. It sounds like one of the judgmental statements claimed to be "prayer" made in public, something Jesus said was hypocrisy.
I have often avoided confrontation and desired comfort when I should have been speaking up for the Truth.
"I want to be an asshole. I want to justify my assholery." The reason that's obvious is that the opposite of promoting comfort sounds like the promotion of conflict and abuse. In the light of this, it's your homework to read your sermon again.
I salute your Guardian Angels
Why does that sound like a fortune teller?
