He does realize the phrase "Turtles all the way down" was coined to mock this kind of thinking, right?

Of course the comments section is a bastion of tolerance and rationality.

The thing with Stonetoss is they are honest, if nothing else. Your average Prager U conservative would downplay the brutality of the conquest of the Americas while insisting that modern immigration is a threat to our identity and no comparison to colonialism. Stonetoss won't engage in double speak. They'll say "fuck yeah we genocided them, and we don't want to get genocided now because we have self interest!"

So basically the weirdo duck-people toon is saying is that “People conquering other people and taking their land is normal and good and ‘Yay Whitey’!”

Which, of course, is a stupid idea and not something humans should keep on doing merely because “People have always done it”.

Bad actions that were “The norm” must stop. It’s called growing, evolving and improving as a species.

Also; We’re talking about one group of people taking over two entire continents and trashing almost all the cultures in them and not “One group of Indigenous Americans conquered another group of Indigenous Americans”.

It’s as if the cartoonist is saying there were long extinct precursors that conquered the “New World” several times. Who were they? Space Aliens? The Xiox? The Cast of Quest For Fire? Sleestaks?!

According to all of this person’s comics, humanity was wiped out and replaced with anthro-duckies!

So if Arabs were to take over Europe, replace the European nations with a Caliphate and marginalise Europeans to the point of near-extinction (as you doubtlessly believe is actually happening right now), Europeans would have no right to complain because much of European history is Europeans invading and killing other Europeans?

TL;DR, even if one native american tribe may have usurped another, that still doesn’t change the fact that they’re still right that the white people usurped them all.

I don't get anti-immigrant sentiment. Unless you are a Native American, your ancestors immigrated here and was able to get land. I think having immigrant grandparents is really cool.
