Somehow that is dumber than thinking that Democrats being called they/them (which are the correct pronouns in this case) is an insult, but not by a lot.

I’ve been hearing this a lot since the last days of the pmurT campaign, and I’m starting to realize how insidious this line is. “Them” used in a similar fashion has long been used as a form of demonization or dehumanization. “Democrats don’t care about you, the ordinary real people, but only about those sinister *others*.”

Please don’t do that. Even if it’s intended to be supportive to trans women in general, it does splash damage to both cis and trans women who aren’t conventionally attractive.

Does MTG think that trans people are similar to, say, rich white folks who have a kink for “white trash” dress-up, going to white trash parties?
