Yes they were fascists and that is one step towards socialism. Socialism is the removal of individual rights. Most people dont want to give up those rights so a form of dictator steps in and forces them to conform. No country has actually really made it to true socialism. They get stuck at the dictator.

There is no right wing fascism. On the right is conservatism, nationalism/patriotism, libertarian(usually) constitutionalism,

Seeing as fascism has extreme nationalism as a focal point, even on the list provided you can have the seeds for a "great" fascist government.

I mean you "can" define things so nothing can be negative about your chosen values, but just because one idiot is going "Oh, no, if it's bad it means they aren't part of this good thing." Certain Scottish males might have a word for how true that ends up being.

Also, the reverse is always true "Oh, no. That's not actually socialism. See, socialism means everyone getting their needs met through helpful governmental means, and since that isn't happening, it's not socialism!" Just seems silly, doesn't it?

COnservatives are writing laws that allow the legislature to ignore the will of the voters. That’s exactly fascist.

No. You are ignoring the many things Trump does that harm the country, the nation, the unpatriotic things he’s attempting, in favor of putting your people in power to stay. That’s not patriotism you fucking seditionists.

QUick check, the Tennessee state CONSTITUTION says that any member can express dissent for anything going on in the legislature. The Tennessee legislature has kicked two people out for dissent. They’re not practicing constitutionalism, but fascism.

These types are “constitutionalists” in the same sense that they’re “bible scholars”: Cherry-pick a sentence or even just a phrase, take it out of context, and reinterpret it through the lens of a mythologized version of the people who wrote it who just happen to think exactly like them. Also completely ignore the parts which are inconvenient, except on the occasions when they’re suddenly very convenient.

I’m also not sure how they square the ideas that socialism means giving up freedom yet socialists want open borders. That seems contradictory.
