9. How were they able to only harass conservative organizations? What about liberal Christian organizations; were they harassed?

1. Shock, horror! Obamacare wants Christian businesses to follow the law! How CAN it? Abortion is a legal procedure, in accordance with Roe vs Wade, and organizations ought not to pick and choose what medical procedures their employees use. What if I despise knee-replacement surgery? (I don't, for the record. My mother had one a couple of years ago and afterwards she could walk on her own again.)

To me it seems like just one point: “Whaaaaa! We’re not allowed to discriminate against homosexuals any longer!”.

--An investigation found those claims to be false.

--Federally funded chapels cannot be discriminatory.

"California bill allowing “transgender” public school students to pick which bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports teams of which to be apart."
--The child doesn't just get to choose willy-nilly. There has to be documentation to support the child's transgender status.

--Only a portion of DOMA was ruled to be unconstitutional, not the entire thing.

10. That was a parody of Hollywood's habit of spicing things up beyond recognition, Gary. It was not written to insult Jesus. That being said, Gary, tell me something: are you an end times believer? If so, do you yourself not look forward to Jesus appearing and acting more or less as he did in that fake trailer?

4. They said no such thing. The SPLC spoke about hate groups, and let's face it, the American Family Association is a hate group. They repeat debunked falsehoods (Hitler's troops consisting entirely of gays because gays are more vicious, Nazi Party founded in a gay bar, etc.) in order to demonize a group of people. They keep using the idiotic term "homosexual lifestyle" without having any idea if that has any meaning (no fundy has ever given me a coherent definition of what that means). And they are supporters of a piece of legislation known quite literally as the "kill the gays bill". The leaders of the Ku Klux Klan will, in word at least, denounce racially motivated murders, but the AFA fully supports killing homosexuals.

The IRS should kick butt on a whole lot of Christian organizations:
"The organization will not, as a substantial part of its activities, attempt to influence legislation (unless it elects to come under the provisions allowing certain lobbying expenditures) or participate to any extent in a political campaign for or against any candidate for public office. See Political activity, next, and Lobbying Expenditures , near the end of this chapter.

Political activity. If any of the activities (whether or not substantial) of your organization consist of participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office, your organization will not qualify for tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3). Such participation or intervention includes the publishing or distributing of statements."

These restrictions date back to 1913. They have been altered very little over the years.

8- You're supposed to follow state and federal law to maintain your tax-exempt status. Why would the state fund you for breaking its laws?

3&2 - Again, why would the state fund you or protect you for what essentially amounts to breaking state and federal law, and directly contradicting the 14th amendment?
1- You're not allowed to dictate what healthcare procedures your employees have access to. Some sects have prohibitions against blood transfusions.

Seriously, those are your examples? Copts were attacked in Egypt, Saudi Arabia is as oppressive as ever, and ISIL is a roving band of Uruk Hai right out your worst nightmares, and you bitch at not being allowed to stone homosexuals anymore?

The IRS can audit anyone it wants any time it wants. Auditing people isn't harassment - it's the IRS's job. If your organization has a name that suggests it may be supporting political candidates (which is not a tax deductible activity), you're audit bait. Just obey the law.

The tiny minority of "radical homosexuals" could hardly bring "immense pressure" on anybody to do anything. The immense pressure came from the millions of people, straight and gay, who agreed with them.
