Some people will be hurt by all of them: cops, pedestrians, immunity-compromised persons.
Then again, some people will be hurt by the lack of them. Cops, people who don't live within walking distance of the ER, immunity-compromised individuals.

I usually don't comment on my own post except to clarify but I'll give an exception for this.

I'm not saying good arguments justifying disgust and hate against transgender people don't exist (although I've yet to see one I find convincing), but this is goddamn lowbrow and you'd expect better from a professional philosopher. The woman is a philosopher? That argument would have gotten me an F in first-year philosophy and I went to a conservative university.

One of her Specialties is sexual objectification. Wow. It doesn't occur to her that boiling someone down to the sum of his or her outward parts when determining gender is a form of objectification of a sort. She doesn't consider the lived experience of transgender people as being valid so she dismisses it out of hand.

And just as utterly irrelevant, because that’s true about letting anyone from any group in there.

“Some,” sweetheart. “Some.” “Most” won’t. We don’t bar people from places just because “some” might be bad actors. Pretty sure there was an entire civil rights movement focused on opening society up to everyone, even the “some” that would abuse it.

I read somewhere that TERFs are actually in cahoots with the wingnuts and are there to undermine both LGBTQ rights and feminism. Basically a bunch of pseudo-feminist Agents Provocateurs.

Sadly no. They are real. One of the worst feelings in my life was sitting down in a cafe and having two radfems talk about how amazing the world would be if they subjugated men and "turned the tables" on men.

Why was this so awful? Because as a man, I would chose to wear a dress on occasion, wear my hair out and long, be a stay-at-home parent, hell, I would have a vagina if I could and would bear the children of my marriage if it was up to me. But I wouldn't change my hormones, how I act, and if I could, I would retain a penis-sized peen.

And these people would stand in the way of my dreams, gatekeeping the ability to *choose* as petty revenge

Transwomen are female, as they have female brains.
Some have penises, some have vaginas, some have both, some have neither.
Some fancy women, some fancy men, some fancy both, some fancy neither.
These too are facts.

Cis-women harm other cis-women too. Wasn’t there a woman recently who cut a baby out of a woman’s body (thereby killing the woman), took the kid to hospital, pretending it was her baby, and the baby died as well?
If we allow cis-women into female-only spaces, SOME females might be hurt by SOME other females.
