"I've actually had people say that if Trump was to be elected if we got a conservative Congress, that they fear that we would have another civil war," Wommack said during a Wednesday episode of his Truth & Liberty show. "And you know what? I don't want a civil war, I don't know anybody that does, but would it be worth it? To turn this nation back? I believe it would."

Wommack's remarks came in response to a call from a viewer who asked if it would be possible to have a "grace revolution" that would create a nation that would "use the Bible as the Constitution." In response, Wommack said there was nothing wrong with the U.S. Constitution, but rather the "problem" is that no one is following it.

"If they were still writing the Bible today, I believe that the American Constitution and the founding of this nation would be in scripture as one of the great things that God has done," he said.

At least we can’t say it’s gleeful psychosis.

But would they give the idea of the colonies/nation being uniquely religious a rest? Massachusetts Bay wasn’t exactly hierophant to the whole seaboard. Certainly not to Rhode Island nor Maryland.

Tbh, I’m more afraid of Civil War the Sequel: Electric Boogaloo happening if the conservatives LOSE the congress and presidency. After all, no one starts a civil war when they get what they want. What people are afraid of if they WIN is much more dire, namely the start of a dictatorship.

The Bible as constitution would make no sense. Theologians can't even agree on its interpretation, the very reason there are so many Christian denominations and cults. It was never fit as a basis for society. Also, apparent war advocacy while pretending not to promote it. Such self-confusion does not invite trust.

I believe using the Bible as the constitution would violate your First Amendment. Other religions use other books, you know.

Chances are far higher for a civil war if Trump loses, not if he wins. If there is a civil war the first shots will likely be fired by conservatives not liberals.

Either way, it’ll prove that you know precisely dick about your country’s Constitution.

If you have to envision or plan a civil war because it’s the sole way your side could ever win then you should reconsider your positions to make them more palatable to the public.
