No. That is just not true. You don't give a fuck about parents that don't agree with you.

It’s wild shit to watch the GOP fascists go after corporations that stop donating to them.

These guys give no shits about individual liberty or parents’ rights— look what they’re doing to parents of trans kids, or corporations that oppose them.

This phrase right here says so much to me. It betrays how they really think of their kids. Parental sovereignty? Being a parent does not make you king or queen of your children. They are not your subjects to do with whatever you want. They are people like you and deserve to be able to be themselves and choose how they present themselves to the world.

What about “parental sovereignty” to provide children gender-affirming healthcare?

There’s a reason why I’m under the opinion that fascists are just opportunists who don’t give a flying fuck about anything other than getting power, they’ll use capitalism until it is no longer useful and kick it the curb… then stomp its’ face in… The only thing you can say that fascists truly believe is their insane ultrareactionary, ultranationalist, and ultraracist bullshit but when it comes to economics… they’ll say and do anything if it means getting power.

I realize it’s not economically or physically possible, but I’d love to see Disney say, “Well, you don’t want us, Georgia does, so we’re moving our jobs, tax and tourism dollars to Atlanta.”

That’s not to say that Corporate America hasn’t already gotten the hint about Flordia… there’s a good chance that Corporate America is NOT going to do business there in fear of pissing off the crazy Far-Right government in Flordia out of the blue.

The only thing DeSantis managed to do with him announcing the dissolution of the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) is to make sure potential investors view Florida as too much politically risked, much like places like Venezuela and Zimbabwe where contracts and private property are useless jokes.

In addition, the US$ 1bn debts will now be paid off by the counties, thereby unburdening Disney from these.
