We don't need hovertanks such as those in "Quake IV" to know we already have the best: least of all a missile-firing tank with visual countermeasures to foil threats such as A-10s - a cloaking device and holographic projectors to create 'ghost' images of said tank - in the novel "Thunderbolt": semi-Sci-Fi.

Like you said yourself, fiction and fantasy. Similarly to how your "God chosen" are not even examples to follow. Who's the father of lies according to your sacred scripture, for instance?

The closest we have to flying cars in existing cities are helicopters. Well tested old tech, available pads, doesn't need city restructuration or new city building. That said, they're noisy and also responsible for a number of deadly incidents compared to planes. When it fails, it falls like a rock and the blades sure cut.

Yeah, it also reminds me of ambitious space exploration projects with huge habitable ship-cities that some promoted as very realistic and imminent back then. But if it's only earthly cities, it also makes me think of Dubai, although it's still not a flying cars city. It's still surreal to ski in a desert and the incredible resources wasted. But also how incredible inequality is in the UAE.

And for some reason, when it's Trump, or GOP affiliated, considering their history, I doubt that they really care about the quality of living, except for the rich. Then this post-reality QAnon crowd? Even less credibility...
