It’s amazing how often ‘protect the women’ has been used historically as an excuse to oppress and even kill members of minority groups. Protecting ‘women’ from POC for example (like WOC don’t exist). Or the myth that PWD are out of control, sex obsessed weirdos that should be kept segregated from ‘women’ (once again, like WWD don’t exist). And now this TERF garbage… And it’s amazing to me how many women (most of them white and able-bodied) just fall right into it and believe this shit, while at the same time believing they understand the systems that keep women oppressed. And they huddle right up to conservative, racist, ableist, homophobic transphobes who want to take us back to when only rich white men had rights. Well, here’s a fucking hint, ladies… all of these different types of oppression work together and are part of the same system - racism, misogyny, homophobia, biphobia, enbyphobia, transphobia, ableism… all of them!!!
