The only reason they're taking Ukraine is for a buffer zone, for the inevitable NATO invasion of Russia.
Moreover, the Ukrainian Civil War that Victoria Nuland started left a serious mess on Russia's border, so Russia has to intervene now.

Putain in Ukraine is about to learn why America did so re. their remembering their past: thus why NVidia are in a certain country, and veterans are welcome there with no ill will despite the past.

Ukraine is already Putain’s Vietnam.

Y’see, like those US troops who fought there, Russian soldiers are in that country because they’re ordered to.

And like the Vietnamese, Ukrainians fight because they have to.

And that’s the difference.

Russia has already said that they essentially want to put the Warsaw pact back together by force if need be. Then after that whatever land they need for warm water ports and then whatever land they want for farm production. If they can occupy Ukraine then Poland is next and then targets will be evaluated on how good their defenses are. Sacrificing Ukraine really just puts off the war with Russia. After Ukraine how far do you want to let Russia go? Poland, Finland, Germany, France? Only the UK is really free of threat and then only because Russia would need decades to build a navy after it has access to ports and construction yards that don’t freeze over every year.

Where were you when the Wall came down?
Suddenly, a lot of Eastern Bloc countries wanted to joint the EU. Half the EU was desperate to keep them out. They didn’t want the economic competition. They also didn’t want their votes to be swamped by all the newcomers.

The EU will not invade Russia for the purpose of owning it, it’ll give russians votes on their councils. The whole point of the EU is to not be controlled by Russia.

And if they’re not going to incorporate Russia, what would th epoint be of invading it?

The present was wasn’t started in Washington nor in Kiev but in Moscow since 2014.
