I think that it would be better if democrats would stop rooting for Iran to win. Iran's only hope is that the US gives up. Why would they want the Mullahs, who want to be martyrs, to succeed and have nuclear missiles? If you dislike this, please explain why.

They can’t see a difference. If the Christains want to kick all the Muslims out of the country and we say that’s illegal, it means we love Islam.
Looks like those who accused, back in 2003, those oppowed to the IRaq War of supporting Saddam Hussein or those who accuse those pro-PAlestinian activists speaking about Gaza War of being pro-Hamas.
Opposing a war doesn’t usually means supporting one of the side, and people have a natural repulsion to wars of aggression.
OTOH, I wouldn’t exclude that some people in the places Trump threaned to invade hope that Trump lose (and not that Iran wins) if only to desabuse him from further attempts of territorial expansion or wars.
