This is pure Russian propaganda. It is a war of choice for Russia because Putin and other power figures in Russia wanted to put back together the old Russian empire.

So many of these people lack the object permanence to remember things like that. Plus, it seems like a lot of MAGAs just love Putin (he’s such a STRONG , MANLY MAN) and don’t look beyond that.

Funny thing is that I recently read that, since Ukraine destroyed several Russian datacenters with drone strikes, the amount of pro-Russian/pro-MAGA comments online have notably decreased globally. As if we needed more proof that right-wingers are backed by foreign dictators using bots…

Well, had Putin abstained from his “special military operation”, no war would have occured since Zelensky was the president supporting compromise with Russia.
But Putin didn’t want compromise, he wanted utter submission.
