We need to talk more about LGBT widows — husbands/wives and their children left behind by their spouses to pursue their LGBT lifestyle.

There are serious political, social, and economic costs to all of this and no one ends up benefiting.

Had the world been a LOT more LGBT friendly, no gay persons would’ve felt any need to enter into an opposite-sex marriage for reasons like…

…staying in the closet.

…to ’prove’ to themselves they’re NOT gay, because of all the “Gay is BAD, mmmmKay!” messages they got growing up.

…being pressured into it by their parents, who think THEIR lives would be over if it came out that a child of theirs is ‘like that’.

You want to talk about all the women ababdonen by their husbands for a younger woman, too? Probably happens way more often.

widows? Fucking bullshit. Exes, divorcees, etc. Those are the terms to use, nobody died because they came out of the closet in and of themselves(though some were promptly murdered by their families all over our history).

If they’d been free to pursue their true selves, there wouldn’t be any of these so-called “widows”.
