Are you still paying for your son's college? Health benefits? Cell phone? Why?
Cut them off. Period. Once they get into this cult - they shouldn't be supported. Continuing to feed their insanity is part of the problem. Sure, it hurts - but tough love is a thing that needs to come back. If the cult member can't support themselves, there's a big chance they'll snap out of it. All these parents supplying daily life needs are just feeding the cult addiction.

Parental duties so they don’t start their life in debt.

Aren’t you a wonderful charmer.
“Continuing to feed their insanity is part of the problem.”
They’re still my kid, that’s not part of the dysphoria.

Spoken like a loner.
But if you lose two paychecks, suddenly you want the charity of strangers…

Got any anecdotes of this happening?
This is the mentality that got Musk to lose so much money on Twitter. Decided it was a liberal conspiracy, offered them so much money they couldn’t refuse unless it was a liberal tool. And they didn’t refuse.
Some will become desperate enough to go along for as long as they need to, but most are going t ochase happiness without you.
I mean, really. Imagine that you were uptight and anxious your entire life. No idea what was wrong, but knowing that something was. And then someone suggested what the problem might be. And there’s a cure for it. And for the first time in forever, you’re comfortable with your body. It’s not fighting you. It doesn’t bother you. People on the street see you and respond in ways that tell you you’ve made good choices.
And your own parent says, “I’m afraid of this becoming permanent.” And tries to coerce you into going back into anxiety, discomfort, confusion.
What would your response be?
“All these parents supplying daily life needs are just feeding the cult addiction.”
Maybe after high school mr. tuff guy will see things different…
Cutting off your children financially when they need it most does not work as well as one might hope. Worst case scenario from your perspective, they already have contingency plans ready to put into action, and that will be the last you ever hear from them. Best case for you, you’re now in the position of continually sabotaging their life out of “love” (forcing them to be dependent upon you), reducing them to praying that you suffer and die behind their fake smiles, without an ounce of self-awareness on your part how psychotic that looks to anyone who doesn’t see children as possessions. Anything in between depends on the situational specifics, but it’s going to be an ugly mess for everyone involved, and isn’t likely to turn out well for you.
I will also point out that, in the case of actual cults, this will result in “see, they are tainted by the world’s evil! cut off all ties and we will support you fully!” and then you’ve completely lost them.

Yeah, hate is on repeat.
The arguments against gay marriage were used against interracial marriage.
The arguments against gays in the military echoed the fights over blacks and women in the military.
Rape apologists use the arguments against abortion and against women having the vote (Women are too emotional to be rational, they say, while Cheeto throws ketchup around what’s left of the White House…)
Confused?
