You have to dehumanize your enemies for effective propaganda. If you were to believe everything you see in US media, Putin is sitting in Moscow twirling a comically large mustache and tying women to train tracks. It has to be hyperbolic in nature to work as intended.

Not all of us have gotten our views of him from mainstream media. I get my views of him from being there while he was in charge and also knowing lots of people who lived under his authoritarian bullshit rule. Sometimes the mainstream media backs me up, sometimes they’re way too wishy-washy for my tastes.

I don't think anyone needs to use hyperbole when describing a former KGB agent.

I mean, I can appreciate not mindlessly believing everything told to you by the media and trying to think critically, but screw you! Putin really IS that bad.

Also, I’m not from the USA at all and even my media says bad things about Putin. And it’s not like we had to gain from lying about Putin, as like with most of Europe, we’re kinda feeling it that the pipelines are being closed.

You might see that on sites like 4 Chan and variants and other disinformation sites, perhaps. But it sounds like your own exaggeration to me. So on doomworld too, afterall.
