What? Do you think encouraging anorexic teens to get boob jobs and liposuction chasing a body image they'll never have is a good solution, too? Do you think kids who think they understand the emotional and physical ramifications of sex should be allowed to fuck, get pregnant, and sleep with adults, too? What about therians? Do you think some loony who thinks they 'feel like' a deer should be able to surgically implant horns and then get shot at by a different loony with a hunting rifle?
It's almost like, hear me out, the solution to mental illness is not mutilation nor is it to encourage the literal impossible.

To be fair, I initially didn’t know intersex was the proper term either until it was pointed out to me here at some point. I genuinely thought hermaphrodite and intersex were the same thing for some time.

First of all, they’re not living in delusion. What they are doing is not impossible. You just have a far more limited view of what counts as ‘woman’ than those of us who accept trans people. Also, do all of the afab women you know look how you think they ‘should’? Because I doubt it.

Being trans is not the same as being anorexic at all. But I think you probably know that - this is just some kind of gotcha bullshit that you hope makes everyone throw up their hands and say ‘omg trans is like being anorexic, we’d better stop telling people it’s ok to be trans!!’ If you’re talking to someone with the least bit of critical thinking, it hopefully won’t work.
The entire argument about transgender ≈ anorexia hinges on the assumption that the vast majority of trans people continue to be miserable post-transition and perhaps become more so. Similar to how anorexics are almost never satisfied with being unhealthfully thin… and without intervention, usually end up dying of starvation. This isn’t the case; transitioning isn’t an instant cure, but rare is the trans person who doesn’t eventually see at least some improvement in their capacity for happiness and their quality of life, and in many cases dramatically so. And you don’t also see trans people going for dangerous extremes like people with body dysmorphia do, unless they also have body dysmorphia. Meanwhile anorexia (and body dysmorphia) can be cured with therapy, while being trans can’t be.
As for the others, pedophilia isn’t in remotely the same category as any of the other things. People should be able to control their own bust sizes, whether making them larger or smaller. There are all sorts of people who get really weird about that, but their various reasons are all over the place, to the point where it’s hard to take any of it seriously. As for antlers, horns, tails, and similar additions, that’s not yet a serious idea in the public consciousness. I do wonder what the general public would think if people started doing that for real, but there’s no reason to believe that this tiny minority (anti-trans feminists) have their finger on the future public’s pulse. So at minimum, rhetorically asking “would you be okay with this” to your own tiny community is nowhere near being a useful argument. As for being shot by a hunter, predator-prey and hunter-prey roleplaying is a thing in the BDSM community. It seems to be fairly harmless, and there might be a bit more of that, but I really doubt we’re going to be seeing a jump in “most dangerous game” or cannibalism just because a handful of people decided to openly embrace deer aesthetics.
