Del. John Mcguire is speaking against legalization of marijuana. He said he had 7-8 people cry in his arms when he knocked their door. He said they were crying because their child overdosed. I have strong doubts that these people’s kids OD’d on weed.
Del. McGuire is right. We have a drug problem in Virginia, and legalizing marijuana will only lead to more marijuana overdoses and deaths. Democrats want more marijuana deaths. As your governor I would never allow marijuana to be legalized.

[Edit: I’m aware that it’s probably Oxycodone, AKA Oxycontin, which is more likely to be the real problem in Virginia. It’s just that “meth” sounds funnier.]

The DL50 of THC (active component of marijuana) is way higher than what can be humanely consumed, meaning that, in normal conditions, you cannot overdose on marijuana.

Sure it will. Or it will just drive the tourist and gastronomy industries, in addition to its own, while causing no direct deaths whatsoever(if you smoke and drive, it’s on your dumb head). And learn what a fucking grass is, maybe smoke some actually since you do seem hysterical about it…

We have legalized MJ in Mass, here. The problem is not tge weed, but the cost. People are buying vheaper forms of untaxed, unregulated weed, and some of the additives czn be lethzl.
Legalizing it, and not adding ridiculous sin taxes, would be key.

I’m not exactly Tommy Chong, but I’ve never heard of anyone OD’ing on weed. You toke up, eat a bag of Doritos, watch Half Baked & pass out on the living room floor. At least that’s what I did.
If there’s a drug problem in VA, it ain’t weed. It’s most like meth, heroin or prescription drug overdoses.
“I have strong doubts that these people’s kids OD’d on weed”. Yes, Brandon Jarvis is dead right, I’ve never heard of a marijuana overdose. I certainly have heard of people overdosing fatally on psych drugs or sleeping pills, as well as the hammer and ice.
Virginians, vote for a Governor who has a clue.
