I really love how men act like men committing suicide is a massive pressing problem that the rest of us have to solve. Like women are like “I have no generational wealth, i have to do 95% of the housework and childcare while also working a job, my health problems are dismissed or misdiagnosed, you rape and murder and abuse me” and men are like “Oh yeah? We've been getting a lot of these misandronistic quotes haven't we? Anyway it's an issue because it's an issue we have to address at somepoint, however no one is suggesting that their concerns are more important then the ongoing issues we have with misogyny, far from it, but you're just being a asshole only carry g about one particular group alone.

Seriously, as much as I may hate male misogynists, I hate female misandrists just as much. You two sides deserve each other; have fun tearing each other to shreds, ya c*nts!

Peacemonger’s right: male suicide rates are a problem and they deserve a thorough look to see what all of us can do to improve or adjust quality of life to reduce it. Whatever benefits men get in our culture for being men, they also have their own, often unique, weights to bear, and a culture of enforced emotional solitude, plus that strange cultural barrier to men seeking medical help, are among them. The solution is a combination of personal responsibility by any individual man and the community he lives in. We all have a responsibility to improve our awareness of these issues.

This anger? I don’t know exactly where it comes from for tockthewatchdog personally, but it needs a more constructive outlet than this. And good lord, they need to work out what’s actually at the root of it and work out how best to make peace with it. We’ll all move on better and quicker once we develop a healthy attitude to our own anger. Then we can actually solve the problems with clear heads. Easier said than done, but that’s the shape of it.

...because men are people and empathy, if not the more honorable drive for fair treatment, requires that men's health issues be taken as seriously as women's health issues.
