Whoever came up with this commercial was definitely trying to make fun of incels but failed because they have no idea what they're talking about. The fact that the guy's name is chad and the second girl's name is stacy can't be a coincidence. Where to even start. The notion that any femoid would turn down a literal chad, or the notion that chad would get rejected as badly as an incel would. The only thing this commercial got right was the femoid. Look how unapologetically rude and insulting she is in rejecting him. She doesn't just say no, she has to make it clear that she'd rather go over boring paperwork than speak to him. Typical self righteous c*nt who thinks she's too good for the world. That really makes me want to use your product. I'll bet a feminazi wrote this. Fuck this commercial, and fuck turbotax. I don't even know what their company is about and already they've made me pledge to never do business with them. If I ever need whatever service they provide I'll be sure to use their competitors out of pure spite.

Companies have nothing better to do than to give money to a director who wants to make fun of a group most of the world doesn't know exists.

But if it was making fun of incels, why is it showing a guy who has the bravery to actually talk to an actual woman?

Many people are unaware of the existence of “incels”. But, with the number of your “brethren” shooting up places and murdering innocent people, you’re getting more and more known by the mainstream, for being mean, petty assholes. Not the friendliest of fame... But, as usual, you have no-one to blame but yourselves.

You naming your man-crush “chad” and your girl-crush "stacy" is no coincidence either, is it?

The ad in question is titled “Tech-Bragging” and is for “turbotax”, which appears to be a tax advice service. Let me recount the video (although it is only thirty seconds long, so you can easily watch it yourself).

In a café, a young man, Chad, talks to a friend, Lena, telling her that he got funding for his app. Lena replies - I assume sarcastically, but to be honest, the sarcasm mode is not that clear -: “Oh wow, really? Tell me more…”
Chad starts to goofily talk about his app, “Cat-Culator”, which is a calculator for cats, an idea he got when his cat stepped on his calculator…
Just then, Lena’s phone rings - Lena: “Thank goodness”. It is her tax advisor, asking her whether it was a good time to go through her tax return form line by line. Happy to have found an excuse not to listen to Chad’s ramblings, she affirmy and politely tells Chad that she has more pressing matters to attend to for now. Chad, who appears oblivious to the implications, proceeds to greet another (off-screen) friend of his, Stacey.

I’d say, as coincidental as the commercial was to your topics, it certainly did rustle your jimmies, eh boy? The concept to be honest seemed a little bit more humorous than your average ad but do give it more publicity, maybe it’ll win something, who knows? I’d vote for it out of pure spite.

And honestly, without fstdt I wouldn’t know what an incel is and am actually sorry that I do. I’m also beginning to wonder about the people who add these incel quotes: perhaps a new hobby would serve them well.

I don’t think the dude, who by incel standards is a bizarre hybrid of Chad and incel, was actually meant to be either. It’s just playing into the “dude who tries to be suave but is comically inept at it” trope. Which in itself is sometimes problematic, depending on how it’s handled, but it has nothing to do with you.

And previously it was 'Unboxing' which was included in the English language via the OED: clearly due to the likes of YouTubers Dr. Stuart Ashen (with Poundland Tat etc on his Brown Sofa) and Lewis Hilsenteger & his tech reviews on his table. But in an entertaining/humourous, nay, positive way in which that word became part of the cultural zeitgeist.
