People have been saying the west was doomed since the idea of the west developed. People have been saying civilization was doomed as far back as there is writing. Random small shifts in acceptable classes are not really a problem.
If you want to know what is a big problem for the west, Russia and China look at population demographics. The rich have made having a family so expensive that people are not doing it. Driving up the cost of housing and basic living is really counter productive for society but the rich won’t pay for it in their lifetime so they don’t care.
