You know, I’ll admit that’s a really good Bible quote. And one that I believe as well. As Andrew Ryan said “Even in the book of lies, sometimes you find truth...”

The actual problem, however, is that everyone who keeps quoting this seems to believe they’re on the other side of it!

Now, I’ll admit that “good” and “evil” are vast oversimplifications of very complex moral issues, and people who believe it’s so simple tend to do more harm then good no matter their intent. Regardless, I’m pretty sure most people can agree that “evil” means “actively choosing to cause physical or mental harm to fellow living creatures”. And guess what? Merely being LGBTQ+ does not fall under that definition…

You know, i was in uniform for 20 years. I had a clearance above Top Secret. I know that classification exists to protect information that could be a threat to the nation if it was in the wrong hands. I could give a flying fuck about the White House’s reputation amongst bible—thumping god-botherers next to the issue of someone INTENTIONALLY putting such information at risk for no better reason than inflating his self-image.

If there were a deity watching over this nation’s best interests, lightning would have struck each and every one of those boxes as they left the White House two and a half years ago.
So i think a few flags and some skin is going to be okay.
