Where the idealized Tradcon workaholic breadwinner father and stay-at-home-mother family happens in the real world, the children have a stronger bond with the mother than the father… excepting where she is abusive and the father isn’t (or at least is a lot less so). It’s a consequence of spending far more time together. Tradcons may not like this much if they see the children as both the father’s exclusive property, and more than mere trophies, but realistically this ideal collapses to dust in the face of human nature. But that doesn’t apply to situations where the mother works at a “men’s job” (or any other job) unless it’s part-time and while the kids are in school.

I suppose that this is what you get when you take a tradwife who takes the idea that women are born caretakers and nurturers and men aren’t very seriously, and also a straw feminist, then mash together the “worst” aspects of both (worst from the perspective of a tradhusband, that is) and then holding up the resulting schizophrenic mess as “women’s true nature”.
