It doesn't matter what the bible says not just because we are secular but also because adherents to it also don't care. Leviticus 19:33-34 says to be welcoming to immigrants and refugees. Matthew 6:5 says no public prayers and to not try to show off piety. Matthew 25:41 says to be compassionate to the least of society. Ezekiel 16:45-49 says a city was destroyed for inhospitality. For all the biblical arguments made against LGBT I never see these nor the commands of killing unbelievers and those of other beliefs (often being told that's Old Testament and to boot many Biblical adherents such as FSTDT's own Pastor Jerry Dixon who mistook Old Testament for Qu'aran). It is not us non Christians that made your bible irrelevant. It wasn't just secular society that did that. It was YOU. You and your fellows who use Christianity and the Bible to justify prejudices and discrimination. Which might explain why god isn't on your side. From outside point of view it seems god has never been on your side.
