Previously so-called, independent thinkers kneeled before the troons, including Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, & Neil Gaiman. The little trolls whose careers she made, ran out to attend specially set up pressers, so they could burn the witch.
I can take or leave Harry Potter too, but can’t help admire JKR for not turning into some giant hypocrite or milque-toast cunt who goes along to get along. It’s particularly humorous when considering Gaiman, as he has historically peacocked what a Champion of Free Speech he is: http://archive.md/Plu1X
The TL;dR of the Gaiman blog is that he’ll stand up for porny comics, but JKR saying biology is real, is Too far.

Oh look! It’s the old “you don’t agree with me therefore you aren’t really thinking for yourself” bullshit argument.
Also, that whole “champion of free speech” thing doesn’t mean he has to agree with everything you like. You all hate freedom of speech because it allows people to disagree with you and you can’t handle anyone thinking differently from you. It’s amazing how much of this “free thinker” shit is really not about free thinking, but about someone they call a “free thinker” doing the thinking for them.
I can think for myself and I don’t trust anyone else to do my thinking for me, let alone Kanye West or JK Rowling.
Also, if you’re saying SK and Atwood and Gaiman are little trolls whose careers were made by JKR… ummmmm Stephen King and Margaret Atwood both have been in the business for several several decades longer than JKR and even though Neil Gaiman could be considered her contemporary, his work has very little to do with Rowling’s. If you are referring to someone else whose career she did create, good on them for being decent and taking the less prejudiced route.
Freedom of speech means freedom to call you a bigoted idiot when you use your freedom of speech to spread stupid bigotry.
And don't talk about believing that "biology is real" while ignoring what biology actually has to say about the diversity of sex and gender in the human population.
You think JKR "made their careers"? Bitch, please, they're miles above what that TERF cunt could ever hope to be. The Harry Potter books may be decent, but her recent work should tell you clearly that she can't write her way out of a wet cardboard box.
And if you were a "free thinker", you'd try looking into the actual science of biology or actually listen to what people on the other side are saying.
…You did not just say JKR made Stephen King and Neil Gaiman’s careers. As much as I enjoyed HP as a child, those things don’t compare to the writing of things like American Gods and the Sandman! Plus, pretty sure their careers were already rising before Rowling’s did.

Atwood has also been big on free speech, by the way. Even to the point of co-signing a letter denouncing cancel culture with none other than your beloved Rowling.
Here’s a thought: if Gaiman and Atwood are proven free speech absolutists, yet seem to vehemently disagree with Rowling in regards to their views of transgender people, then maybe — just maybe — it’s not a matter of caving in to pressure (which they would likely push back against, rather than surrender to it). Maybe… it’s because they recognize that trans people are legitimately who they say they are, and that they deserve support and sympathy rather than rabid fearmongering and barely-veiled hatred?
Such a wild thought, I know. [/sarc]

Does 3MMA think Free Speech is everyone honoring everyone else’s opionion?
Free Speech is about whether teh Government can shut you up. A Free Speech defender would champion comics with adult content having a right to be published AND Rowling having a right to express her opinion
AND
everyone who isn’t the government having a right to express THEIR opinion about Rowling’s opinion.
If i say you’re talking like a stupid bigot, I have done nothing to impact your Free Speech Rights.
If i decide not to carry your books in my privately owned bookstore, I have done nothing to impact your Free Speech Rights.
If i have an online social media site and decide you’re posting offensive shit and i remove your content, I have done nothing to impact your Free Speech Rights.

Stephen King phoned in a request to a radio station, asking if they would play some Black Sabbath. They said 'No'. He bought the radio station, thus forcing them to play Black Sabbath: it's now an established Heavy Metal station, which includes no less than Alice Cooper as one of its broadcasters.
This was way before JK Rowling had put pen to paper. Question:
How was King able to do that if he wasn't already wealthy pre-"Harry Potter"...?!

It was in the last book, when Aberforth Dumbledore (Albus’s brother) talks about what happened to their sister when they were kids. The experience made her traumatized and unstable. He doesn’t exactly spell it out directly, but what he meant was clear enough.

It’s implied when the centaurs grabbed Delores Umbridge and carried her off into the woods. She was insulting them at the time.
In mythology, centaurs have raped human women.
Confused?
