I don’t recall Jesus taking his case to an appeals court.
I don’t think Jesus got to travel around the country during the trial, after the conviction.
Pretty sure Jesus’ lawyer didn’t have sidebars with Pilate…

Also, do you follow Jesus because he was prosecuted, or because he performed a miracle and got up after the sentence was served?

There's some nobility to be executed for religious and political dissent, especially if the latter is directed against a foreign power occupying one's homeland. There's no nobility to enjoy mollycoddling even after being convicted of fraud.

Jesus apparently wasn't a scammer and wasn't sold to money. He warned the rich like Trump that they're unlikely to be saved. And invited people to leave their belongings behind to follow him. He told his followers to aim for the kingdom and riches in heaven, not to try to take control of Rome. He healed the sick. Even if much of that may not actually have happened.
