The Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith is still continuing its inquisition against pedophile priests. People think of pedophile priests as Karma Houdini's and while that was true from the 1990's-2004 I wouldn't consider this to be true post-2004. Any priest committing a pedophilic act will be judged and punished by the inquisition (which makes it scary because we don't know what the punishment is). And considering the fact that the Catholic Church still upholds a document from the mid-1990's that explicitly states that homosexuality and pedophilia are the same thing I wouldn't be suprised if gay priests would be as severely punished by the inquisition.
But hey, perhaps we do live in the 1970's-1980's after all. Anyone remember back when atheist humanist progressive feminists where passing around a petition to remove the age of consent in France or when the pacifist socialist party wanted to legalize child porn? While legalizing adult-child sex is nowadays fringe (as it Always was, though much less so than gay rights) the most vocal in their support for it have been Islamic conservatives and right-wing libertarians.

I know it’s common to equate “priest = pedophile”, even quite often here on fstdt, but it’s far from correct. Most of the priests I know take their vocation and their work very seriously and try to do good in the community.
Most pedophiles are straight, conservative men. Are you a straight conservative man, dearie?
None of the priests I know or know of have been found to molest children.
Those priests who are molesting boys profess to be servants of God, at least. Whether they actually believed in God or not, no-one knows but they themselves.
Yup, as there are fewer atheists than Christians in American prisons, atheists are clearly learning their moral lessons from someone else.
Pedophiles crave CHILDREN, regardless of gender. It’s not the gender that matters for them, but the innocence, the non-development. The bodies of pre-pubescent boys and girls are pretty similar. Boys are slightly less guarded than girls, and there are more choir-boys than choir-girls. That’s why girls are molested by family members, while boys are molested by acquaintances and strangers.
You are the ones ignoring reality, thereby risking more children becoming molested.
