Jim Hanes:
Homosexuals don't care about you, Roger. They aren't the slightest bit interested. Why would anyone be?
Roger Marks:
If that is the case, why do they keep on trying to shut us up?
Jim Hanes:
How have they tried to shut you up Roger? Serious answers only please.
Roger Marks:
I wil share with you one good example. A friend of mine wrote a very good book about homosexuality. At the book launch which was by invitation only. The homosexual rent a mob invaded the launch banging drums, blowing whistles and shouting obscenities.

Oh my god, people I disagree with were allowed to exercise their rights!!! That’s the worst kind of discrimination and oppression that has ever existed in the world!!! [ /s]
I mean, depending on where the launch was, maybe they shouldn’t have been there, but the principle is the same.

…and that requires just this example of a reply, Rogered:
I'll take ‘Shit That Never Happened' for $400, Alex.
WHO THE FUCK launches a book by invitation only? Why do that? What commercial purpose in limiting the number of people to see your book, talk about it, give people a reason to buy it?
If this nameless author of an unidentified book exists, he would only do this in the HOPE of someone crashing the party for the free publicity. Thus, making noise at a book launch is the fucking OPPOSITE of shutting you up.
Weirdest claim, though? Roger has a friend?

I also can’t help but think about the protests relating to Cruising
Bonus trivia unrelated to Roger Marks, Christina Applegate’s mom is a big fan of Al Pacino. So, Al Pacino being in this movie, she went to the theater to see it. She brought her daughter Christina with her. Christina was 8 years old at the time.
He did actually come up with the book’s title and author in the end. Here it is:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Strained-Relations-Homosexuality-Bill-Muehlenberg/dp/1495969436
Here’s a five-star review, which should give you an idea of the content (apart from the fact that Roger Marks likes the book, which should also give you an idea of the content):
“Bill Muehlenberg’s very well written and extensively researched book “Strained Relations” provides the facts in a compassionate way that you need to know about the push to normalize homosexuality and so called same sex marriage. Bill not only provides information from many scientific sources and studies about homosexuality but also provides abundant information written by homosexuals and homosexual activists themselves. Hear in their own words what the homosexual lobby wants to do to the institution of marriage and sexual mores in general. Get past the sugar coated view the media presents about the homosexual lifestyle. Traditional marriage and family have been the cornerstones of civilization for millennia. “Strained Relations” is a must read if you will want to make sure you have all the facts about the blitzkrieg to smash these cornerstones.”
I'll believe you, Woger sonny, of course, thousands wouldn't... It sounds quite entertaining "invaded the launch banging drums, blowing whistles and shouting obscenities." Of course, a good old ACT-UP die-in would be even more entertaining.

Bill Muehlenberg is one fundie I would pay NOT to have to read, except for a laugh or if I was dying of boredom. I did read a book he did on gay marriage, for and against, with Rodney Croome. Needless to say, a certain Tasmanian presented much better arguments.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
