That’s part of the problem, though, isn’t it? They consider reflexive obedience, isolated from all else, as alone moral—with only God rightfully enjoying the (ultimate, in every sense of the word?) privilege of amorality.

So the highest value isn’t the preservation of human dignity and life but obediance. Sounds like a good mantra for any totalitarian group or government, the kind of mindset which can only give birth to the “Just Followed Orders” defense.

Well, he’s not A human, but he’s clearly subhuman. He’s a weak, forgetful, vindictive, misogynist, sociopath, constantly punishing others for his mistakes.
His weakness would be terribly clear if The Faithful were willing to judge him by human standards, but they cannot so they pretend there’s some other, higher morality only HE can access, only HE can be judged by.
But he still admitted that the Flood was a mistake.

I don’t think “subhuman” is the right word here. “ahuman” or “inhuman” fits better, depending on what connotation you’re intending. Or even “antihuman”, but that would be kind of a weird connotation for a supposed creator deity who supposedly hasn’t turned against his creation.

That's not even an ethical dilemma, just pathetic. What you want is slavery, which was abolished centuries ago, plus my Briton side shall never ever ever be one.

You can’t call someone a pedo if there was no sex involved. However God got Mary pregnant is unknown. The Bible never said how. I assume it was magical powers or something. Mary’s age also happens age to be unknown. Jewish girls married young, but it was the Babylonian Jewish girls that married around their early teen years. Jewish girls in ancient Israel married usually mid teens or even up to the early twenties. However they can married as early as twelve. Mary may have been 12-15, but Joesph or God could have cause the betrothal to last for several years, so Mary could have been much older then 12 or 16.

Oh but you can. Case in point child porn found as evidence on a hard drive, more than enough to call the owner a pedo. The abrahamic cththulu has one way or another, according to its own book, forced a pregnancy onto a very possibly(though fair enough, not 100% definitely) heavily underage girl. With no choice, nor agency in the matter herself, no less.

You can fight over the small print but the fact is, it’s a disgusting and throughoutly disturbing story, one of the many in that particular book but shows a good chunk of the sick, depraved “morality” it is trying to enforce on its pages.

Force? Many Christians believe that Yahweh (a cruel god) is the Heavenly Father. I’m one of the few who don’t. Yah seem like one who force pregnancy. The Heavenly Father (whom I don’t believe is Yahweh) doesn’t seem like the one to force people. Hey if I’m wrong and Yah is the Heavenly Father, then Mary was force. I don’t known, but I just see a difference between Yah and whom Jesus calls the Father. Christians say she did consent by saying let it be, but if Yahweh is the Heavenly Father, then she couldn’t say no without being destroyed. Force pregnancy is wrong regardless how old she was. However if he is not the Heavenly Father, then I just can’t believe a being who is supposed to be super good would force pregnancy and that Mary said let it be out of fear.

I don’t agree with underage girls being pregnant, but doing that time period Mary was seen as an adult Still a good God should know better not impregnated a young girl no matter what the time period. Maybe he cause the betrothal to delay or cause Mary to be betrothed at 18-23. Mary was probably already in her early twenties when she was betrothed. Mary age seem to range from 12-20/23 (see other sources under Kity).

Still a point of consent, whatever Mary’s age. Then again, divinities of the Levant and Mesopotamia tended not to do that well where ethics are/were concerned, especially compared to India’s devas. At the very least, the Akkadian chaoskampf (Marduk vs. Tiamat as a power struggle among divinities) pales in comparison to the main Indian one (Indra vs. Vritra to free the world’s waters from the latter’s control), although that comparison is more morality than ethics.

Like I said before, it depends if Yah is the Heavenly Father. If Yah is the Heavenly Father (which I don’t believe he is), then Mary was force and said let it be out of fear. Yah kills people who disobeyed him. Christians who believe that Yah is the loving Father or God have a mess up way of seeing love. Killing your kids just because they were complaining is bad parenting. Actually I don’t know if a god (or gods) or a Heavenly Father/s exist. I’m agnostic henotheist.
