Yes you have people who call everything woke but it is a consequence of the companies constantly talking about representation and diversity. With lgbt stuff I used to not mind a gay character here and there but now I dont watch anything with that included although to be fair I tend to not watch anything past 2014. If I see a modern day movie with a black or female lead I wonder if it has some racial or gender related message.
Also tired of ignoring the key demographics because activists writers hate the fanbase or don’t even like the source material. Most people are not lgbt so why not market to that specific audience. If I lived in Nigeria I would find it odd if a large percentage of people in entertainment were Asian or white. I personally think there is a hyper obsession with diversity that ruins entertainment. Also like I said I’m not listening to black ppl younger than me talk about race.

1. Because some artists care about more than producing lowest common determinator focus-tested-for-mass-appeal cash cows. And even cynical executives might see the value of a niche product that yields a deeply invested cult following that may be milked for more in the long run than yet another generic entry in an oversaturated market could.
2. Because most heterosexuals are not desperately starved of validation (or perhaps affirmation?) of their heterosexuality like you appear to be.
3. Because most people can empathise with characters not just over a commonality in such a broad and common aspect of attraction as being attracted to the opposite sex.
4. Because, since we are talking about merely including homosexuals, there are probably heterosexual characters that may appeal to their straight sensibilities.
(Far from complete, with some points I don’t think I can express well)

Perhaps, but then, you are a presumably US-American chauvinist whose only perspective is that of living in the internationally culturally dominant country, probably consuming little if any foreign media, expecially not any that you recognise as such*…
* with the possibly exception of anime, with that weird weeb hatred of dubs, when everyone outside of the Anglosphere is watching dubbed Anglophone media all the fricking time…

Yes, and those tend to be right-wing assholes. “Everyone I don’t like is Hitler woke” and all that.
but it is a consequence of the companies constantly talking about representation and diversity.
…And your point is? News flash, RL people ARE diverse and prefer to be represented in some way. Not everything needs to revolve exclusively around us white cisgendered men…

Wow, how tolerant of you… /s

And that’s your problem right there! The fact that you cannot dissosciate minorities existing without it HAVING to be some sort of conspiratorial “woke political message”.
Also, the One Piece Live Action Netflix show? Considered an awesome and faithful adaptation of a manga yet has a diverse cast. The only dumbasses I’ve seen complaining about “woke diversity” (such as Usopp being black) are the idiots who only have a basic knowledge of the source material; looong before the Netflix show Oda (the author) even stated in a Q&A that the Main Characters would be very diverse if they came from RL. From america to africa to asia to europe. And guess what, the aformentioned Usopp? Would be african then.

No, it’s not.
I mean, I hate sports, but when tournament seasons roll around and every ad is touchdown this or hoops that or buying this car is a home-run, the metaphors go in one ear and out the other. I note it but don’t COUNT it.
YOU, on the other hand, remember each and every single ‘woke’ reference because you’re personally offended by those being inclusive of people you don’t want to acknowledge, much less share the planet with.
You’re probably also counting any character played by a person you know is gay, aren’t you?
It’s on you, doofus. Your outrage is your invention, not a response to outrageous behavior.
Confused?
