Iāll be honest here, I may not be as familiar with most of US presidential history as you, but I do think Trump is the bottom of the barrel here. I mean, as bad as some of them may have been (and Iāll take your word for it), at the very least they probably somewhat acted like sane, mature adults with some intelligence and experience and didnāt commit High Treason by stealing official documents nor attempted a blatant coupā¦
Iāll admit I may be biased, but I simply cannot imagine a worse Potus than Trump.

One thing that came as a great surprise to many Americans after 2016 was discovering that most constraints on presidential behavior weren't laws, only customs. And Trump has neither knowledge of nor respect for any tradition - not even those of basic public decency that the worst of his predecessors still honored.

Thereās Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump & Joe Biden. Thatās 5 this century. If Trumpās the 3rd best, heās better than 2. Possibly George Bush & Joe Biden?
OK everyone, I forgot about Clinton being included in this century. Still not sure whether W Bush has done more or less damage than Trump, though.

I would argue that at least Buchanan was worse than Trump (for now) in so far as his actions were partly the reason a Civil War started, which Trump (again, so far) has not been able to accomplish. And letās face it: The US had TONS of horrible presidents. Recency bias might be at play for Trump here. He certainly is giving his worst to finally dethrone Buchanan though.
Yes, Trump is among the best presidents of the entire history of the United States.
