If Atheists truly believe there is no God why do they spend so much time trying to convince others. One time I asked an atheist to sit on his bed and say “If you are real God show me”. Imagine he couldn’t! I asked him why. He said “What if I find out after all this time that there is a God? ”. That confirmed to me, there is no such thing as an atheist. Just an angry or bitter human being who finds it more comforting to make themselves believe there is no God. Because God forbid if there is a God, then I have to deal with He doesn’t love me, He doesn’t accept me, He allowed this horrible thing to happen, or I have to repent of my sin otherwise I’ll go to hell.

…Yeah, I’ll take “shit that never happened”, for 1,000 bucks. And even IF it did happen, just one example of a troll does not mean all atheists are fakes…
If Atheists truly believe there is no God
No, that is not atheism, dumbass. Atheism is a lack of belief in any deities, not the belief that there is no God. There’s a HUGE difference.
...and if you're so convinced about the existence of your so-called 'God', why can't he prove we Atheists wrong himself and make your 'Great Commission' redundant by convincing us himself ?
Atheists - Infinity+1. Fundies - 0. Checkmate, Christains.
You're just angry and bitter because you can't convince others: we Atheists.
Bothersome corollary—that anger towards God is inherently unjustifiable. Tell Habakkuk that, and see how long it takes him to laugh you out of the room.
Actually, you could do that with most Jews living today. No medium or necromancer needed.
Interesting. I have asked God to prove his existence to me. One time, something eerie happened afterward that *almost* convinced me. I don't actually remember what it was, but it wasn't something that was absolutely convincing and I thought, God could do much better if he were real. As far as I'm concerned it's on him to prove he's real, and I've got a high bar for supposedly omnipotent beings.
Have you ever sat on your bed and asked Tezcatlipoca, the Aztec god of malice and magic, to show himself to you? Or Crom Cruach of Ireland, the Crooked God of human sacrifice? Or Amaterasu, the Japanese Sun Goddess and ancestress of the Imperial family?
Yes well that is the test, if God, or any other deity, is able to make himself real to you. Guess you have to have faith. . .which is difficult when he is the figurehead for oppressive mortals. Just like the tyrant you have created in your own image.
So anyone would be a believer, if God appeared to them as dramatically as to Moses and Paul in Bible stories. But he hasn't, so I remain an agnostic.
“One time I asked an atheist to sit on his bed and say “If you are real God show me”.”
It would make more sense if you sit on YOUR bed and ask your god to show ME he’s real. Seems likely, huh?
Well, you don't even get the meaning of atheism.
I'm an agnostic atheist in regards to some nebulous godly being out there - it's this poorly defined that it can't be refuted. Something like this could exist, but I see no reason to expect this given the evidence. I don't believe in it, but I don't deny its possibility.
In regards to your supposedly abrahamic god I'm a gnostic atheist - I know he doesn't exist because his supposed holy scriptures define him in a way which makes him a logical impossibility.
Maybe there is some kind of godly being - but one thing is for certain:
It's definitly not your particular sock puppet.

Same reason anyone tries to convince strangers of anything: because no man is an island. Atheists, and theists for that matter, have to live with the consequences of the choices that other people make sometimes.
As a wise man once put it:
In a democracy, everything is political. And everyone.
Why make such a big deal about drinking and driving, except that the driver might crash into someone who isn’t drunk, and this is a foreseeable problem that ought to be prevented before the crash actually happens? Sure, you could argue that they haven’t actually done any harm unless they’ve actually crashed, but waiting until then to mete out punishment is really stupid.
Fundie Christians see atheists as dangerously irresponsible, and thus are obligated to do something about it before things get worse. This makes sense, and it sort of makes the conflict inevitable, because it informs your views on so many things that ultimately everyone has to live with, for example, some kind of medical policy informed by something, and obviously there isn’t going to be a unanimous decision on what that is. The alternative to arguing about it is having some emperor decide for us, and that’s not really better.

To be fair, Helheim is actually a pretty decent place, so long as you’re not a murderer or a betrayer, in which case you get sent to Nastrond—Nidhoggr’s nest.

Because your live in a borderline theocracy, where basic concepts like evolution are considered “political”, because you fundies are doing your darndest to fight objective reality.
I remember talking to a friend a while back: “isn’t it wild how the americans have actual communities and organizations based around atheism?” We are both atheists, but over here, there is simply way less need for a push-back.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
