More like “Cornball”.
It’s also a shame that the Taliban went back on their promise to relax their rules concerning women. I was hoping that they’d at least allow women to work in some areas in a “segregated from men way”. I know bad guys lie all the time but I read an article about Taliban sending their daughters to school so I though they were willing to adapt this time. I was cautiously hopeful.
The Talban claimed they would be a tad lenient but they had to build facilities to accommodate gender segregation first. I think they’re just making excuses. I think nations need to withhold aid until they keep their promises while Muslim scholars explain to them why giving girls an education and allowing at least some limited employment and autonomy would be good for the country in the long run.
The guys who started the Taliban just hate women and girls and have major cooties. Even Islam gives gals the right to an education, own property, seek divorce, etc.
I also learned you don’t even need a building to have a school. School buildings are expensive and that money is used up before stuff like books and such can be bought. A bunch of schools were built in Afghanistan but were too expensive to run or maintain. The countryside is littered with all these abandoned school buildings! Tents would work fine. Get big tents and put most of the money into books, supplies and wages for teachers.
The U.S. Military should have done all they could to crack down on corruption in the previous Afghan Govt. and treated the soldiers well. Maybe then, they would have fought off the Taliban rather that fold like paper!
And DON’T GET ME STARTED ON ORANGEGUY SABOTAGING EVERYTHING BY FREEING 5,000 TALIBAN GUYS AND NOT GIVING BIDEN MUCH TIME TO PREPARE!
Now, Afghanistan is suffering from a famine because the Taliban are idiots. Contrary to my previous statements, they can’t even run a country. I guess all those favorable things said by the populace about them was spoken at the end of a Taliban’s rifle!
Hit them with sanctions and hinder their funding and supplies!
