“If you want education you better include the fear of God,”
Which one?
“if you want to be a good scientist you better include the fear of God”
Naw. ‘Science’ has no place or opinion on superstition.
"the U.S. Supreme Court in three decisions said no more fear of God in education, we want education to be secular.”
That would be fair for everyone, no matter which god they accept.
“All right, that’s a theological issue. How’s that working out?”
“In 1962, ’63, America was number one in the world in literacy, we are now number sixty-five in the world in literacy”
Part of that change comes from the Conservatives that keep taking money away from education. And every idiot that comes down the pike adding more responsibilities to the teachers without compensation. They’re teaching more and more kids per class, with less time for each lesson, fewer requirements for what used to be the basics, and also keeping an eye out for abuse, for learning problems, for undiagnosed abuse, and so on eand so on.
" We don’t have the fear of the Lord, because guess what, we don’t have knowledge, it goes down.”
Well, feel free to actually explain the mechanism. Fewer prayers -> Less reading? How?
