Self-defeating isn't it? Descent with modification and adaptation led to diverse working animals, not without their flaws. To call that "perfect design", you come back to the fact that we're just adapted by evolution? Well, psychedelics can temporarily increase delusions of perfect harmony...
And why Jesus, isn't it just a particular cultural choice? Something you may also appreciate with psychedelics, presumably...
Also, where's the original gospel tradition of pseudoscientific denial arguments attributed to Jesus? Mentions of origin myths is something else. If Jesus had known what we know about nature today as well as how future creationists would be misleading humans, there presumably would be a clear scientific essay, or its antithesis... Just, science as we know it didn't exist yet, cultures just had their traditions and origin myths.
I'm not recommending to use drugs, I just presume that they may have been involved.
Now something interesting about psychedelics and entheogens. They have an effect on our brain's chemistry due to evolution and the high diversity of potentially compatible carbon chemistry, the same reason jungles are incredibly precious to discover potential molecules useful for medicine. There are many ways that some chemicals can pass the blood-brain barrier and have some effect, in the case of psychedelics, among other effects, they tend to produce more disorderly random electrochemical links during their action. This produces interesting hallucinations, including sensations of ego-dissolution, synesthesia, impressions of fading duality, some confusion about the boundaries of what is shared conditionment and spontaneous, giving impressions of communion and telepathy, mental imagery may be enhanced, impressions that the environment is alive (including inanimate objects), etc.
