Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was a story warning about addiction. Dr. Jekyll was a man living in a repressive Victorian environment and all the potion did was take away his inhibitions and let him hide behind a chemically-induced identity. He was based on a real life doctor who was executed after it was discovered that he was living a double life as a criminal. The funny thing is, in the original story, we don't find out about Jekyll's identity as Hyde until the end. It's supposed to be a big mystery.

Essentially, the story is about how everyone has a hidden, self-destructive dark side that could get out of control if we let it, which makes it hilarious that trans people want to turn it into an allegory for their trans awakenings...

I think trannydom is born from sexual trauma. you might think im talking about rape only but no, I mean shit like hypno sissy porn and watching euphoria (sydney, I am a boob guy but I got tired fast). I think hypersexualization is sexual trauma too. your sexuality, your natural sex drive which should be healthy, is scarred. I also consider fetishes like liking super obese people and feederism sexual trauma.
I tend to agree. And I think it's something that's missing from a lot of the tranny discussion but also a lot of lolcows with weird sex problems in general. Degen stuff is basically self-abuse and "traumatizes" people in the sense it damages them, but it's not like usual SA related trauma. I also think a lot of people are just destined to be followers. Their behavior is memetic. If they're surrounded by people promoting XYZ, they'll follow what to them is the path of least resistance. It's why a lot of troons can spiral shockingly quick. Imagine you're a mentally kneecapped hentai addict surrounded by people joking about piss fetishes in the Discord all day and night. You are what you eat, after all.

Grant Morrison is also an ironic figure when it comes to trans discussion because he's now 'trooned out by media' without that being his intention.

He wrote a tranny character in his comic and say he's 'genderqueer' but likely more in old school going against the norm sense rather than identity sense. Now Wikipedia and news outlet just bestowed they/them pronouns and troon status for him so he can be a good poster boy for current day politics just like how Marsha P. Johnson got posthumously transed even if he said explicitly that he was just a crossdressing gay man in non-drag self.

The difference is that Grant Morrison is alive, so he made a comment that you can call him whatever, but he never cared about pronoun policing culture we have today.

Since his stance on pronoun and gender is 'whatever', the media took that as a confirmation that he's trans now and you must use the correct pronouns.
