"What happened was we had Lance Wallnau on the show—who's going to be with us in a moment—and we were talking about witchcraft and Kamala Harris," Murillo explained. "She was called a witch and they lost their minds. Now, I want you to consider this: How many Pentecostal preachers do you think there are in the United States and then ask them how many of them believe that witchcraft is involved with this woman. There are tens of thousands of us that really question the role of demonic power and the supernatural in this woman's campaign."

"It's not a crazy idea," Murillo insisted. "And for you to wonder if we've lost our mind is totally unacceptable."

Baseless accusations of witchcraft usually seem to have this effect.

And I doubt anyone attacking Kamala of being a witch has ever tried to learn about beliefs pertaining to witchcraft. And let me guess. Those that attacked program did nothing more than quote them directly.

The section that disclosed the whole story: "We were attacking Harris and it's not the business of independent fact checkers! There should be no consequences for bullshit, it's all a NWO cabal attack! Spiritual warfare, witchery! Only fake news yes men allowed! No journalist in our sacred magic circle! Demons out!"

If someone were to use this sort of stuff seriously in an argument, and I were a trollish mood, I’d say “who cares about what Pentecostals think? Are they even real Christians?”

This is just another example of ‘free speech for me, not for thee’. They say what they want, but then when someone disagrees with them they cry about how no one should be allowed to do so. Fuck off, asshole.

Maybe a bit of a personal digression but it's related to this. It reminds me of my interest with the occult that started by around 12yo, that I've left behind about 12 years later. It's the superstitious indoctrination in Jehovah's Witnesses that made me believe that there might possibly be something supernatural at work somewhere. I had doubts about the existence of Satan and demons, but maybe not in the possibility of human psychic powers and perhaps disembodied spirits. My OOBE experiences helped to entertain that perhaps it was really possible to explore out of body and that perhaps "beings" met in that state had a real existence outside of my own mind (living people, dead people, people temporarily "out of their body" like me). But experience and research led me to the understanding that interesting human experiences have down to earth explanations and that fantasies that I was exploring the actual Earth and other dimensions "out of body" were just that. Despite the claims of people discovering treasure or attending secret meetings in the astral with other people in OOBE state, in my experience that doesn't happen and while what the brain can do is impressive, these were dreams with various levels of lucidity. Like for miracle claims and other human traditions, there's the living spiritualist tradition and all its false claims.

The conclusion is that witches have no special powers either and that those who believe that are victims of their own mind games, misconceptions of the world and misleading literature. Demonizing politicians and pushing libel of supernatural conspiracies seems like a convenient way to claim that libel and hate speech is just "faith". And it may be true that some of those promoting such don't all do it out of pure malice. But we've also seen evidence of actual malicious disinformation campaigns, weaponizing religious rhetoric and ignorance, superstition... And we know that such libel and conspiracy theories can harm people and society. We also know how the separation of church and state is important to prevent religious persecution.

As always, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, so dismiss as such and acknowledge the stupidity involved. If your statements are indistinguishible from those of paranoids under psychosis, don't be surprised when other people acknowledge that.
