On the most recent episode of the Right Response Ministries podcast, radical Christian nationalist pastor Joel Webbon and his co-hosts advocated for the government to literally seize control of churches that do not share their far-right theology. It’s the latest bit of evidence that they view core American values like religious liberty and religious pluralism as nothing more than roadblocks to be dismantled as they impose their Christian nationalist vision on the U.S.

The discussion began when co-host Wesley Todd complained that there are tens of thousands of "apostate" churches in the United States and thus it would take "decades of work" to properly re-educate their parishioners. Instead, Todd said, the government should investigate every church in the nation and then seize the "wicked" ones and redistribute their holdings to "faithful churches."

"Hear me out," Todd said. "The president, the sovereign, the magistrate, Barron Trump, he comes out and he says, 'I've taken a task force. We've gone through every website. We've driven by every building and we have logged thousands of churches with Pride flags out front, women on the clergy, and there are soldiers on the street now. We are taking their property and we are giving it to the faithful churches in town.'"

"That is completely historically within the realm of the magistrate," Todd continued. "He can do that. You are an apostate, wicked church and your building, your land, your heritage is taken from you and it is given to those that will bear the fruits of it."

While Webbon does not think that women should have the right to vote, he explained during a recent podcast that he currently allow his own wife to vote so that she can "concede" her rights back to him by casting her vote in accordance "with the decision that I make for our family"[…]
"If we ever got to the point where it was on the docket and it was something, ironically, that America was voting for—voting to take away the vote of women—me and my wife would both vote on principle, with conviction to take away her vote," Webbon said. "I believe in representative government at every single level all the way down to the household. It doesn't go down to the individual; it stops at the household"[…]
Webbon said that if he votes and his wife doesn't, then his household is losing half its vote and so "in prudence" he allows his wife to vote to ensure that he gets his "full household vote"

"We currently live in a wicked time with wicked rulers who are dominated by feminism and hate men," Webbon declared[…]
In an effort to assure women that he is not just "picking on them," Webbon added that unmarried men, men without children, and men who do not own property should also be stripped of the right to vote

"We should repeal the 19th Amendment because we love God and because we love women," Webbon said. "But beyond that, it's really more than just that. Universal suffrage is not God's design, so there's a lot of men who shouldn't be voting either"

"You need to be a head of household," he stated. "You need to have a stake in the country as it presently lies, but also a stake in the future. That's why marriage is important because it indicates child-bearing, these kinds of things, future generations. A stake in the country also in terms of ownership; land owning males"[…]

Radical Christian nationalist pastor Joel Webbon used his latest podcast to call for a complete moratorium on all immigration for the next fifty years in order to protect the lineage of "heritage Americans"[…]
"For America for the next 20 to 50 years, there should be virtually zero immigration," Webbon proclaimed. "And I'm not talking about illegal; I'm talking about legal. No immigration"

"We need a wall," he continued. "This is merciful, by the way. I'm not just trying to be unhinged. We need a wall. We need guys on that wall, standing on top of that wall, and if someone starts to approach the wall, there needs to be a warning, 'Back away.' If they don't listen to the warning, they need to be shot. They need to be killed"

"That will be the more merciful option because what will end up happening is you'll have a handful of people that get killed and then thousands of people that don't experience the misery of coming and then having to be removed," Webbon insisted. "That is the more merciful option. That is the way biblical justice is done. One is punished and the rest stand in fear. That's the Bible's model"

Right-wing pastor Andrew Isker recently delivered a guest sermon at church in Indiana where he declared that Vice President Kamala Harris is biblically unqualified to be a leader and that it's "insane" that she might actually become president[…]
Isker focused his recent remarks on a passage from Deuteronomy that declares that "no one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord" and "no one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord"

Isker insisted that this was an instruction on how to "construct a temporal order" by requiring leaders to have both a connection to the past via ancestry and to the future via offspring

Since Harris is the child of immigrants and a stepmother with no biological children, Isker asserted that she is unqualified to sit in the Oval Office

"One of the candidates for president, she has no children," Isker said while delivering what he called his "anti-endorsement"

"Mrs. Harris," he continued, "neither of her parents are from America, right? She was born in California, but they both were on on student visas. She doesn't have a connection to the history of this people"

"If you think about the principle of what this is teaching, she is not connected to the past of this country whatsoever," Isker declared. "She doesn't have ancestors that fought in the Civil War or ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War"

"It's insane, really, that this person who is without a future and without much of a past, at least here, is attaining the highest office in the land, is being installed as the President of the United States," Isker proclaimed

New Apostolic Reformation “apostle” Tim Sheets, brother of pro-Trump “apostle” Dutch Sheets, appeared on ElijahStreams Thursday, where he described “prophetic downloads” that he said God has given him since the election. Donald Trump’s victory will usher in “the most supernatural era” ever and a “higher level of Christianity,” Sheets said, along with a “kingdom revival” and “billion-soul harvest”

Sheets said God told him that it’s time for a newly confident ekklesia—a term dominionists use to refer to the church as a governing body on Earth—to exercise a higher level of authority. He said the church now has a “prevailing anointing” and is “overwhelming hell’s effort on Earth”

“The Lord says, ‘The world will now see the paths of My Ekklesia extending into all of the earth,’” Sheets said. “’The direction she travels will show an aggressive resistance to Hell's advances in government and in cultures. The Ekklesia will now be presented as anointed for war, anointed for battle, anointed to reign, anointed to bring change, anointed to work for My harvest, anointed to reap the lost, anointed to prevail’”

“Hell is about to face a church it’s never faced before,” Sheets said, adding, “Our government, the nations’ governments, they’re about to face a church it’s never faced before”

Joel Webbon is a radical Christian nationalist who advocates something called general equity theonomy, a far-right Christian theology that asserts that laws and rules set out in the Old Testament still apply today. While those laws and rules may have originally applied to conditions and circumstances specific to the ancient Israelites, general equity theonomists assert that the general principles behind those rules ought to still be in effect today

This idea was the driving force behind legislation unabashed Christian nationalist pastor and Oklahoma state Sen. Dusty Deevers introduced earlier this year that would have amended the law for "willfully, knowingly and without probable cause [making] a false report" alleging that someone committed a crime by changing the penalty so that those found guilty would face the same punishment that the falsely reported crime carries

Filing a false report was already illegal in Oklahoma, but Deevers' wanted the legislation changed simply so that the punishment will be in accordance with the Bible, repeatedly citing the Bible's various "eye for an eye" provisions[…]
Webbon, who is a close associate of Deevers', used a recent sermon to advocate for this sort of legislation[…]
"So if you accuse in a court of law, falsely accuse someone of murder and it turns out in the final analysis that that person is not guilty of murder[…]and the penalty for murder should be capital punishment—life for life—then you, even though you have not committed murder"[…]
"If that were to occur and the just penalties were to be enforced, you, the false accuser, is now put to death," Webbon declared. "And that's a public death. It's a public sentence, publicly carried out, then the citizens of these United States of America, you know what they would do? #MeToo would end real fast. False accusing, playing the victim when you're actually not; you know how to end that real fast? All you have to do is publicly execute a few women who have lied"

"In a legislative sense and in terms of public rituals, things that are celebrated—virtues, holidays, all those kinds of things—the public square, legislatively and culturally, it would absolutely, unapologetically play favorites," Webbon declared. "And there would be one favorite, and it would be Anglo-Protestants. That would be the favorite. So, there will be no public Catholic parade, but you could have a public Protestant parade. And there would be no law that says Jews can't live here, but what there would be is anybody to hold public office would have to make a Christian profession of faith ... and they would have to have a track record of it. So, no practicing Jew who hasn't converted to Christianity will be able to serve in public office"

"Judaism as an ideology and as a religion, I do believe, is parasitical," Webbon said. "What it has done historically throughout the ages is typically go into other countries, other peoples with other religions, and kind of cozy up but not really for their benefit; not a mutually beneficial relationship, but where they ultimately get far more out of the deal than the Christian nation does"

"Jews need Christians," Webbon proclaimed. "Christians do not need Jews. It is not a mutually beneficial relationship"

"I love Jews and I wish them a very pleasant conversion to Christianity," he continued. "If you are a citizen of Israel and you refuse to convert to Christianity—you are a Jewish citizen, Israeli citizen—I do wish for you not to serve in public office in my nation. You can come here if you're going to play nice like any other immigrant and contribute, but no, you do not get to pull levers of power in my nation's government"

When Donald Trump announced his intention to nominate Fox News host Pete Hegseth to serve as Secretary of Defense, concerns were raised immediately about Hegseth's undisguised Christian nationalism[…]
On Monday, Hegseth appeared on the "CrossPolitic" podcast, which is hosted by Toby Sumpter and Gabe Rench, both of whom are closely tied to Wilson and his church

During the discussion about Hegseth's book "Battle For The American Mind," Hegseth said that he is working to create a system of "classical Christian schools" to provide the recruits for an underground army that will eventually launch an "educational insurgency" to take over the nation

"I think we need to be thinking in terms of these classical Christian schools are boot camps for winning back America," said Sumpter

"That's what the crop of these classical Christian schools are gonna do in a generation," Hegseth agreed. "Policy answers like school choice, while they're great, that's phase two stuff later on once the foothold has been taken, once the recruits have graduated boot camp."

"We call it a tactical retreat," Hegseth continued. "We draw out in the last part of the book what an educational insurgency would look like, because I was a counterinsurgency instructor in Afghanistan and kind of the phases that Mao [Zedong] wrote about. We're in middle phase one right now, which is effectively a tactical retreat where you regroup, consolidate, and reorganize. And as you do so, you build your army underground with the opportunity later on of taking offensive operations in an overt way."

"Obviously, all of this is metaphorical and all that good stuff," Hesgeth claimed, which promoted both hosts and himself to burst out laughing
