I think you are grossly overestimating the popularity of such a project. HUAC was abandoned because of public opinion, and is not remembered fondly.

So, politics is not improving the nation but to oppress your political opponents. Yeah, it’s good propaganda - for your opponents.

Um… they don’t have a majority on the Senate dude, if the Republican-controlled House tried to do such a thing it’ll die in the Senate and even if it passes in the Senate Biden isn’t going to sign it into law, all you’re doing is bitching you can’t oppress people all the while totally ignorant of the fact that your party literally can’t do that in congress.

For a while I had a leaky tap in my bathroom. Turned out it was nothing more than a perished washer, which I learned how to replace via a few vids on YouTube: detailing how to shut off the supply then using certain tools to open up the tap mechanism then remove the old washer and replace it with a new one of the same size then reassemble the tap, turn the supply back on then lo and behold: no more leaky tap. Problem solved and costing no more than a packet of various sized washers. Simple advice via YouTube.

And that advice came from plumbers.

So do it already and make the OP obsolete. Indeed: make it an irrelevance.

Just as that which thought it was ‘useful’ ultimately died a pickled irrelevance due to not only what it thought was ‘useful’ but blew up in its own face by it’s previously Supreme Commander who later became C-in-C of the entire US Military regarding ‘Tailgunner Joe’ McCarthy as not only an irrelevance but not even acknowledging its existence.

…I tell a lie: said C-in-C said of what that thing thought was ‘useful’ - McCarthyism - as McCarthyWASm, so it wasn’t entirely ignored.

But it ultimately was by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

That’s why I Like Ike. So many did too: to the extent that he was elected twice. But McCarthy was expendable.

Be careful the same doesn’t happen to you, ‘Plumber’: a little knowledge can go a long way in making you irrelevant.

House Repubs are too busy trying to re-elect themselves and Tmurp right now anyway. And if they succeed (hopefully they won’t) either whatever gets done with Agenda 45 and/or Project 2025 will make a new HUAC largely unnecessary, or Tmurp will find a way to fuck everything up so badly that they’ll be too busy dealing with that.

And here I thought the GOP was all about freedom [/sarcasm]. No joke but the is very fascist of tbe OP.
