No men generally don't age as bad as women. Besides the thing men have on their side is that looks is certainly no the make or break factor in most cases. It's pretty accurate if you look around. Men also peak at a much later age than women.

Women get less attractive after 25 or 30, men get more attractive with age... watch this thread

As a guy gets older, his market value increases

As a girl ages, her market value decreases, and often fairly rapidly.

A woman's market value is at her highest between the ages of 16 and 25 (possibly up to 30 if she really takes care of herself and is lucky). During this age range, women are at their most attractive to men. They can rely on their looks and 'sexiness' to attract guys (and, often, manipulate men for their own gain).

As a women reaches 30 and beyond, her market value rapidly decreases and she becomes less attractive to men. Once she reaches the menopause, she's finished and no man wants her any more.

Contrast this with how men age and what ageing means to a man's market value....

A young guy in his late teens or 20s is not yet at his most attractive to women. He is still seen as a 'boy' and not a man yet.

As a man gets towards 30, his market value rapidly increases. He starts to look more manly in his appearance, and he starts to act more manly in his personality because he is maturing. Often, he has more career and financial success too. All these traits increase his market value and therefore his attractiveness towards women.

A guy in his 30s, 40s and 50s and sometimes even older can still be massively attractive to women and date women who are much, much younger than himself. But a woman in her 30s, 40s, 50s and over is going to find attracting a man much harder work.

See, women have the power when they're younger, but after 30 the power balance shifts rapidly and a women loses her seductive power, whereas a man GAINS his power.

There is a saying, 'Men age like fine wine, women age like milk'. It's so true!

This is why younger guys at uni find it hard to get laid, and the girls that age have tons of guys after them. The guys haven't yet reached their most attractive, and the girls are at their most attractive.

So yeah, this isn't a woman hating thread, it's just making people aware of the truth about age vs attractiveness.

To the girls here, do you worry about being over 25 or 30 and losing your 'seductive power'?

In a way I feel slightly sorry for women in that they have a shorter time frame in which to attract a mate, which only adds to their pressure. Lucky I'm a guy, we have a much wider window and we age better. It's just the way nature is though.

What are your views on the age of consent generally?

I think it should be abolished and replaced with a law that allows courts to decide more flexibly whether abuse of trust took place (which is really what age of consent is about, isn't it -- we all know its wrong for a 30 year old to persuade a 12 year old that a sexual relationship would be cool, but if the 12 year old thought that without persuasion, it's different...) and you have to take the different ages into account, too; I think the flexibility of the common law and the representative views of a jury are absolutely necessary here.

However, I don't ACTUALLY know how the law works in this area. If that's already what happens then good.

Exactly..if these girls don't want men coming onto them, slapping their bums copping a feel etc then don't dress like sluts..you dress like a slut you're going to get men coming onto you and they know it they just do it so men will buy them drinks and flatter them etc..

the same goes for girls who dress like that then get raped..ok rape isn't good but if you dress like that of course you're going to get more attention and maybe a drunk guy sees you and can't help himself..the girls have to take some responsability for themselves and not dress like sluts then cry when there are consequences..also these girls often lead men on then complain when he takes it further

[[ A morality test
Assume that the most attractive girl (or guy.) you've ever seen is chained to a lamp post naked while you're having a stroll late at night. Would you, or wouldn't you have sex with her/him IF:

No one would ever find out
The memory of the incident will be wiped from your and her memory afterwards

Vote in the poll.]]

I don't really consider this a morality test. Any man with a penis who saw the most attractive girl ever, to their eyes, would shag her (assuming the lack of consequences was made explicitly clear to them) and that's the end of it. A morality test would be something like killing a child or slaughtering a pig, or even exploiting a minority. Human nature dictates that an ordinary person with some sort of libido would go with "Yes" in this instance. I'm not going to lie to myself, though I consider myself as good a person as can reasonably exist, by suggesting otherwise.

[ on which is worse homophobia or racism]

well race isnt a choice however i believe Homosexuality is so imo racism is worst.

[Why do you believe that homosexuality is a choice?

Secondly, do you also think discriminating against Asian people because of their race is worse than persecuting e.g. Christians? ]

Being a christian i dont i believe that were not born with the inclination to be attracted to the same sex. i would class persecutions of Christians on the same level of racism but not homophobia because i i believe its wrong, being prejudice against something i believe is wrong could never be on the level of racism of persecution.

Seriously guys its not a good idea to be openly gay in the street. Im not homophobic but i do not encourage or support homosexuality, if i saw a gay couple on the street i would probably have a go at them(nothing violent) because they are not thinking about the children. Kissing the same sex or holding hands with the same sex in public just gives children the wrong idea, they are young and you dont need to take away their innocence.

[ So you'd have a go at a hetro couple holding hands because of 'the children' too. ?
Also, what are you protecting them from? The truth? ]

Tbh, i have my views and opinions about homosexuality, i believe that homosexuality is a choice; nothing in nature or religion suggests that same sex relationships are meant to be. I feel that its more to do with society, enviroment and upbringing and exposing children to homosexuality makes them choose something that is not meant to be. Having said that i do not have problems with gay people, they can do whatever they like as long as it doesnt bother me but if they kissed in public it would bother me because of the children.

[So you think children should be sheltered from the fact that gay people exist? Nice one. This would never make them prejudiced later in life, would it... ]

If they were exposed they would think its ok which to me its not. but hey thats just my opinion.

Btw, im not like most of these hypocrite homosexual bashers who dont think male relationships are cool but get turned on by female relationships. i completely disapprove of all homosexual relationships whether it be male or female.

I'm not homophobic, but I don't think batty-boys should be allowed to bum each other. If they are gay then I think they should be celibate for their whole lives, they shouldn't be allowed to go round fudge packing other queers. It's just not right and it's unacceptable for society to have to deal with. Not only that but it spreads diseases such as HIV. Even Jesus condemned gay-lords...
But that said, I'm not homophobic and don't mind gays if they keep their gay thoughts to themselves and don't bum around. Thats all i'm saying, homosexual activity should be made illegal and then gays will have to refrain from bumming.

[In the past I have told my partner that I really don't want him having sex with me when I am sleepy/asleep and it did stop, but recently it has started again. I am a really deep sleeper, but sometimes I do get the sensation that I am being messed with and wake up. Rather than say no I try to remain still and unresponsive but he still ends up having sex with me whilst I am on my side. If I say anything he'll just say that I thrust my backside at him and I should stop being so desirable, wheras I just see it as me lying in bed. I don't know what to do.]

Lots of couples do this.

Feminists want all sex to be rape to get at the bastard men.

OP needs to make time to be intimate. She should appreciate that the guy has stayed faithful through what must be a difficult time for the poor bloke.

I think rape must involve a degree of protestation at the time. Here there is none.
