“I don’t mind being Nelson Mandela because I’m doing it for a reason,” Trump told am amped-up crowd of supporters at a sports complex in Derry, New Hampshire. ”We’ve got to save our country from these fascists, these lunatics that we’re dealing with. They’re horrible people and they’re destroying our country.”

Donald Trump: “We’ve got to save our country from these fascists, these lunatics that we’re dealing with. They’re horrible people and they’re destroying our country.”
Radio: “No, Donald! It’s you and your followers who are the fascists and lunatics, the horrible people destroying our country!”
And then Donald had a vision where this was his head: https://gcaggiano.files.wordpress.com/2016/07/img_1422.png?w=640

He's also directly compared himself to Jesus, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King.
This isn't exactly surprising. In his mind, he's like all four of them, only better, and the MAGAts generally agree

Frankly I’m surprised he hasn’t already done so…
At least, publically. As I’m sure he does he does see himself as a god.
You who Trump keeps reminding me of lately? The World Nobles from One Piece ; the aristocratic elite of the elite who stand at the top of the World Government and who are quite literally above the law. Despite having outlawed slavery everywhere else, they freely flaunt their ownership of countless innocent and abused slaves wherever they go. They do such heinous crimes as organizing tournaments were “commoners” are hunted for sport. They have a genuine god-complex, truly believing themselves to be “not even human”, going by the title of “Saint”, and being wholely convinced it’s their divine right/duty to do whatever the hell they want at the cost of the happiness of mere “humans”. They are also hated by EVERYONE, even the most despicable of pirates.
The only difference between them and Trump (IMO) is that the World Nobles can at least love each other in earnest. Trump cannot grasp loving anyone, even his own offspring.
Yes, as you can imagine, I don’t have a high opinion of Trump.
“I don’t mind being Nelson Mandela because I’m doing it for a reason,”
Yes, yes, you facing consequences for your own actions is just like nelson’s case. Sure. And your reason is that you can’t find a way to weasel out of it.
Confused?
